We absolutely loved this place. It has everything you could ever need for a seaside getaway. All of the equipment in the sheds---chairs, umbrellas, as well as towels---helped us enjoy a lovely few days at the beach. I recommend using the outdoor shower as your daily ablution spot!

As described…

This place was everything that they say about it and some additional things as well. Very well equipped with beachwear and kitchen amenities. Well, shaded by the trees so that we ate most of our meals outside. And the outdoor shower is fantastic after the beach. I highly recommend this place. It was wonderful!

Another great vacation on CI

Cypress cottage was wonderful. Fully equipped is an understatement! It had everything my family needed and then some. Though the house is a little bit away from the main spots and restaurants, it is extremely peaceful and quiet. The front yard is a treasure. Nothing beats laying in the hammock under the shade of the tree in the afternoon after a great day at the beach! Though our family had a house on the island (which was being renovated this summer) we would definitely recommend this wonderful, cozy cottage for a small group.

My family agreed that this was definitely one of the nicest cottages we've ever stayed in at Chincoteague- and we've been coming for years. The quality of everything provided was exceptional.

Access to storage for bikes which were great Trek bikes but we brought our own and could store ours safely in the shed. Made great use of the kitchen with good quality kitchen pots, pans knives etc. used the beach cart and the cooler on wheels made going to the beach easy. Always felt safe here. TV good quality and comfortable furniture. Everything was clean and in new like condition which is rarely found in a VRBO. Loved the outdoor shower!

The property is exactly as pictured and all the extras were incredibly awesome!!! Those saved us from having to bring as much, which is a huge plus! The owner and rental company were easy to work with, although I asked a question about how many beach towels and the types of beach chairs and got a reply that seemed auto-generated because it didn’t address my specific question. No biggie, just mentioning that. We had a lovely stay and would definitely consider renting from them again!

Well-appointed, cute, very nicely decorated, clean cottage. The hosts paid attention to every detail. We could find nothing we needed other than food and beverages. Everything was provided, even shower gel, shampoo, towels and scrunchies in the outdoor shower. It was like staying at a friend’s home! They also provided a detailed notebook with instructions for everything and a list of where everything was down to the drawer or cupboard. It is ideal for someone who is flying to Chincoteague and has one suitcase. We will rent again for sure. The only negative we experienced was that the laundry products provided were highly scented. Due to our scent allergies, we brought our own unscented detergent and had to wash all our bedding, towels and dish towels before using so as not to have asthma issues. For that reason only, it was a 9/10. If the hosts change to unscented laundry products, it’s a 10/10 for sure!

We had to store our pantry items outside the kitchen. I would definitely go back!

Beautiful Cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cottage is clearly loved. Every touch, from the decor to the furniture, showed how much thought goes into this lovely cottage. We especially appreciated the extras provided by the host — a welcome bowl of fruit, access to bikes, etc. The town (and wildlife refuge) are a short drive or bike away. We had a great week here, and enjoyed the beautiful yard as well. As a birder, I loved the white ibises which grazed next door. The only challenge was that the driveway takes careful maneuvering around the light/telephone pole near it, and if you have rain, which we did, there are lots of puddles on the dirt roads around the cottage.

Satified Customer

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was good, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. We were a short walk to Main Street where we could watch the ponies at they were headed to and from the carnival grounds. Description of property and amenities was accurate. Window air conditioning worked well. Each bedroom, bonus room, and kitchen had air conditioners. The beach supplies were a life saver with 2 toddlers. They could nap under the tent canopy and the cart was handy for hauling tent, chairs life vests, and bags. Bikes were awesome, although if you are short, the adult bikes may be a challenge. Activities we did included; pony beach walk, pony swim, visiting Asateague National seashore/beach, visiting pony pens, parade, auction, carnival, pony swim home, crabbing, biking, tour of NASA Visitor Center... boat tour w/ Captn Casey was fantastic for kids. Loved Chincoteague!
