The room was clean and pleasantly decorated! I love that it has a comfortable chair and love seat to relax in. I reserved a “sea view” room and the balcony looks out on the bay. There is an elevator which is very convenient, also. I was only here one night but I’d come back to stay longer next time.

Property is well- maintained and staff takes pride in what they do. The pier is great for fishing. There is a great pool and patio. We used the grills to cook some food. Beds were comfortable.

In the middle of an upgrade

The view of the water was nice. It seemed like they were in the middle of a renovation because we had 2 rooms and one of them looked fresh and clean and the other on seemed dated and needed a lot of work. Breakfast was strange - they didn't let you serve yourself but insisted on scooping and portioning out the continental breakfast. That's probably fine for a lot of people but we have preschoolers and they were nervous to ask for a scoop of eggs or sausage. Not much room for breakfast either - only one table. Probably designed for you to take back to you room to eat. A note about the town -- so many mosquitoes!! Bring mosquito spray!

Good place for a short stay. Clean, comfortable beds and nice view from the balcony. I did not give 5 stars because the choice of rooms is mis advertised; the only difference between the standard and de luxe is floor with the 3rd floor having a better view. No difference in room size, facilities or renovation.

The room was nice and I love having a balcony. The hotel is waterfront, very pretty. We used the outdoor pool which was very nice, no lifeguard so watch your children! The free breakfast was nice, great offerings.

Spotlessly clean, beautiful setting, nice pool area by the water.Reasonable rates for in-season. They kindly allowed us to check in an hour early. Free breakfast. We only stayed one night, but would definitely book here again!

Many great things about this hotel: location, beautiful views, nice pier with picnic tables and benches, pool, hot tub, and pickleball courts available. While the rooms are clean and adequate, they are very dated and basic. We had a small fridge that even had rust and damage to it which, although it worked fine, felt unacceptable. The staff was friendly at check in and check out. If you’re not going to spend much time in your room, it’s a good option.

The room was kind of muggy like the doors weren’t sealed very well and humid air was getting in. The young girl at the front desk was super rude. Nice pool, room was big, pretty roses.

Nice quiet Hotel, comfortable beds clean rooms. Walking distance to a few good restaurants…our room had a few issues that needed repair… The toilet flusher had to be lifted manually after flushing or water would keep running all night… And the balcony door could not be locked(latch did not work) ,nothing major… the hotel is relatively old, but nice and quaint… Pool was very nice and heated… I do not recommend this hotel for smokers, as there is no smoking of any sort on the entire property… You could not even enjoy a cigar and a drink on your balcony.

We go to this hotel every year! It is VERY cost affordable compared to other hotels for the same quality. Room was clean, with bayside waterfront views. I love that they have a waterfront pool & hot tub and private dock to use! Staff is very friendly and seem genuinely passionate about their jobs. There is also a nice hot continental breakfast as well. We will be coming here next year again too!

Had a wonderful time during our stay here in July. Rooms are very nice and have your basic needs. Husband Loved the fact we could put the boat in their Marina Where he was able to keep an eye out..and of course, the convenience of it all. The Beds were soft and comfy..The Breakfast Bar every morning was Awesome to Start the Day...I Loved the Pool, I Loved the Spa..I Loved it All! The Staff was very Nice and Polite. It was another Fabulous Chincoteague Vacation... And we will be back again soon! Thank You!!. Michealle Beshore

We enjoyed our stay at Waterside. It’s a beautiful location. The room was clean, with comfortable beds. We were supplied with fresh baths linens as requested and housekeeping service as requested. Our family enjoyed the pool and fishing on the pier. We had the opportunity for breakfast each morning which was basic but enjoyable and served by a friendly staff. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
