Situated in a peaceful location at the heart of what was once a working farm, this modern farmhouse is the perfect base for larger families and groups to gather for an unforgettable Cotswold escape. Every corner of this wonderful country retreat has been beautifully decorated and furnished, including its seven bright, elegant bedrooms; serene havens for restful nights.

The beautiful country kitchen with its Belfast sink and electric Aga-style oven is a charming space to prepare breakfast, cooked with a hamper of ingredients waiting for you upon your arrival carefully chosen from local farms, butchers and bakers.

A stylish dining room with an impressive wood dining table creates a beautiful backdrop for indulgent feasts or celebrating a special occasion. A Charlbury Quarry reception desk restored into a bar is perfect for serving Champagne or mixing up cocktails. In summer, open the French doors to the garden to create a wonderful indoor-outdoor space where you can relax, dine and take in the far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside and rolling hills. Cooler evenings can be spent around the living room’s log burner.

The garden offers a spacious lawn for children to play and a patio with picnic benches, ideal for fun family barbecues while admiring the views. Beyond the garden, well-signed trails take you around the surrounding farmland where you can find sheep and donkeys.

Ground Floor

Kitchen:
This spacious, modern country kitchen combines charm with all the modern conveniences you would expect, including Aga-style electric oven and hob, two fridge freezers, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere and two dishwashers. A breakfast bar area seats four and has a TV and wine fridge. A homemade cake will be waiting for you on your arrival while a hamper filled with your breakfast favourites will be waiting for you outside the back door each morning, carefully chosen from local suppliers like Bampton Butchers, Mayfield Eggs, and Marks Bakery.

Utility Room/Boot Room:
From the kitchen, you can step through into the handy boot room which provides the perfect space for storing walking boots and wellies. The room is equipped with a washing machine, dryer and sink.

Dining Room:
Gather around the impressive wooden table seating 14 and catch up over long, indulgent dinners, with drinks served from the bar. Admire historic photos of the farm or original stonework, a nod to the building’s past. French doors can be thrown open to the garden where you can enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside and hills.

Living Room:
The cosy, elegant living room is a relaxing and welcoming spot to gather in front of the wood burner. Snuggle up on the sumptuous sofas while watching a movie on the large smart TV or hosting a sociable games night. Enjoy views of the duck pond, livestock, and hills beyond.

First Floor

Bedroom One:
A spacious king-size room decorated in neutral white, overlooking the duck pond and garden. The room comes complete with chest of drawers and an open hanging rail for storage, and a chaise longue to relax on with a morning cup of coffee.

En Suite:
Bedroom one’s spacious en suite has Bohemian style tiles and stylish twin bowl basins. A walk-in shower with rainfall head, WC, heated towel rail and large lit mirrors complete this en-suite.

Bedroom Two:
A bright, peaceful room with comfy king-size bed, storage cupboard and en suite.

En Suite:
The second bedroom’s en suite contains a walk-in shower with rainfall head, WC, basin and heated towel rail.

Bedroom Three:
A great room for younger members of the family or for friends sharing, this twin room has two single beds and chest of drawers.

Bathroom:
This family bathroom features a bath with rainfall shower, WC, heated towel rail and basin.

Bedroom Four:
The final room on this floor is a lovely king-size double with built-in hanging rails, chest of drawers, and dressing table with chair. Looking out to the fields and hills beyond it is a relaxing room where you can get away from it all.

En Suite:
Bedroom four benefits from an en suite with a large walk-in shower, WC, basin, heated towel rail and quirky round window.

Second Floor

Bedroom Five:
Set under the eaves, this charming twin room has two single beds, an open hanging rail and chest of drawers for storage and full-length mirror.

Bedroom Six:
This lovely king-size double room is a restful retreat with a statement headboard, an armchair for enjoying a good book and a hanging rail and chest of drawers.

Shower Room/ WC:
A shared shower room with step-in shower and rainfall head, WC and basin. Next door is a WC and basin.

Bedroom Seven:
The final king-size double room has an extra splash of colour with a feature khaki green wall. This delightful room has an armchair, hanging rail and chest of drawers to store clothing and full-length mirror.

Outside

The garden is a wonderful space with a large lawn for the children to play, two picnic benches for enjoying outdoor meals and a fire pit to roast marshmallows in the evenings. The firepit also doubles up as a BBQ, offering the opportunity for wonderful summer feasts. A gravelled parking area provides space for five cars. From your doorstep follow well-signed trails to find sheep and donkeys or enjoy longer country walks to explore the Cotswold countryside.

Points of Note:
It is the policy of this property not to take bookings for groups where the majority of guests are under the age of 25, or single-sex group celebrations, including stag/hen parties.
Please note that additional guests above the maximum capacity are not permitted.
2 well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional fee of £47 per dog. This fee is not included in the rental price. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog/s and you will be sent a request for the additional fee.
Banbury Farmhouse accepts 2 infants as part of the maximum occupancy of 14 guests. Please add infants as children at the time of booking.
