Sunset View is our holiday home on the popular Hoburne Park, named amongst the UK's best holiday park groups by Which? magazine, and located close to Friars Cliff and Avon Beach.
We love it here, the park is spacious and well kept and, while it is very popular, it's also incredibly peaceful. We are so lucky in that Sunset View enjoys a slightly elevated position with views across the park and, facing west, we enjoy beautiful views of the setting sun on a clear evening.
Inside Sunset View you will find all you need for a comfortable stay. An open plan living area with a well equipped kitchen. It includes electric oven and hob, fridge freezer and microwave, an open plan dining area with a roomy lounge with plenty of seating for guests to spread out. On warm days it's wonderful to enjoy drinks and a meal on the decking area overlooking the park.
There is a main bathroom with a walk-in shower and an ensuite toilet off the main bedroom. There is central heating throughout and a remote-controlled fireplace in the main living area. A large Smart TV is in the living area, where you can login to Netflix and other streaming services. A smaller TV is in the main bedroom.
There are 3 bedrooms (sleeping six). Bed linen, bathroom towels and tea towels are included, however please bring your own beach/pool towels. The park itself is lovely with numerous facilities including; plentiful parking, two swimming pools, a larger heated pool outdoors with adult only swimming for an hour each morning, and an indoor pool which is perfect for little ones. There is a sauna and steam room and a small gym on site.
The main café has a soft play area and a fun arcade next to it. There is a lovely restaurant (which does takeaways) and a bar. Outside there is more for kids with the fun playground and crazy golf alongside a games area. Evening entertainment takes place in a large entertainment area with bar and stage, where talented acts perform and there are activities for all ages. The Hoburne team are wonderful and couldn't be more helpful and welcoming.
We bring our little dog when we visit, he absolutely loves it and we are very happy to welcome your dog too. One (or possibly two by agreement) well behaved adult dog is great. Please do take care to keep wet and muddy paws from the furniture and carpets during your stay.
It is a dog friendly park, although guests are requested to keep dogs on a lead throughout. There is an area near the outdoor facilities where dogs can be let off the lead. Far more fun though is to enjoy long walks on the beach where dogs can be off lead all year long in many stretches between Friars Cliff and Highcliffe beaches.
Talking of the beach, a mere 15 minute walk from the park gates down the pretty Seaview Avenue leads straight to Friars Cliff beach. It is so beautiful and an instant reviver. Here you gaze across to stunning views of the Isle of Wight, watch (or join in with) the early morning swimmers, enjoy coffee in the Beach Hut Café or the Noisy Lobster and marvel at the paddleboarders and windsurfers. It is a truly beautiful stretch of sandy beach, clean and friendly and lined with pretty huts, some of which can be hired privately, or through the Noisy Lobster shop (do book well ahead though).
We have been coming here for years and wouldn't be without our special ‘home from home'. The time we spend here as a family is precious and spending time from Highcliffe through to Avon beach, and beyond to Mudeford Quay and the spit, is the perfect setting to recharge our batteries and have some much needed time out.

the caravan and utilities within were good, not excellently clean. The TV would not work, the site did come and try to get it to work, but were unable to. We did try ringing the contact number, but could not get an answer, office ? was shut. Hoburne sent there maintenance chap round, but they were not obliged to do so, as this is a private owned/managed holiday let. As said, he did try for about 1/2 hr, but thought it must be the receiver unit, but he was not allowed to replace/repair anything. the park itself is a bit enclosed, and has a small dog walking area. Bashley Hoburne Park is very different, much more open space, so a bit special. TV would of helped alot.
