SARGASSO Update:
The Caribbean Sea has been experiencing higher volumes of Sargasso sea grass in recent years. This sea grass can wash up and pile on the beach and create an unpleasant smell as it decays. It is most prevalent on the North and East side of the island. In large amounts it prevents enjoyable use of our beach.
The west end of the island has beautiful beaches that are almost always sea grass free.
The Sargasso grass is most prevalent during the hotter months of late July - September.
This condition is unpredictable on a week to week basis and something that is totally out of our control. As a result, unfortunately our current policy must be that we cannot issue refunds as a result of Sargasso.

Beware... German Roaches

We booked the condo for a week. The condo definitely needs a deep clean, but for island life we figured this was typical. Check in was easy, however, after opening the cabinets in the kitchen we realized the unit had roaches, not just any roach, German Roaches! We immediately went out and bought a can of Raid, we used the whole can in the kitchen. We also had to go to Home Depot to buy roach bombs. We set off 6 bombs the next morning in the unit. I notified Earl and his response was the condo association is responsible for spraying the unit and he would let them know. A few days into our trip my husband saw a pest company show up and asked him to come into our unit. He did spray the kitchen for us. We continued to see roaches for the entire stay. A can of Raid, 6 bombs and a professional company and the kitchen was still infested for the duration of our stay. We were having to wash everything we used in the kitchen before it was used. It didn't make you feel good cooking and eating in the unit. The guest bathroom shower rod kept falling down mid shower. The bar was jerry rigged to fit on the wall. Don't expect hot water for a shower or washing dishes. Myself and my husband are both licensed Home Inspectors and Mold Assessors in South Florida. The furniture in the living room has mold spots all over the cushions and furniture. The allergens in this unit may cause health issues. My biggest fear is taking home German roaches, they are impossible to get rid of.

The condo was well appointed and had all that we needed. Vents and living room furniture could use a cleaning. We've stayed with this property manager before so I am sure he will take care of those small details. The grounds and common area are in great shape.

Earl is Great!

Earl, is great. He was very attentive and willingly answered my numerous questions. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was all it could be. There was a welcome basket waiting for us upon arrival. The condo has everything you would need to have an enjoyable vacation. The view from the patio was fantastic! The sea grass was an issue as far as being able to enjoy the beach in front of the condo but there was no smell. The sea grass was an issue along all the Northshore beaches. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Colony Cove again.

Property was on a nice, albeit old, resort. Unit was somewhat updated, somewhat outdated. New granite counters next to old worn out appliances. AC unit was modern and worked well. Could be cleaned better but was not gross. Over all, the unit was very well stocked with supplies (dishes, pots pans, seasonings, towels, beach chairs, etc.). We enjoyed our stay at Colony Cove.

I give this property two stars for a few reasons. The mattresses and pillows in both rooms were incredibly uncomfortable and very old. You can literally feel the springs in the mattress. I woke up with back pain and body aches every day due to the uncomfortable mattress and pillows. I took the pillowcases off and the pillows were the color of a teabag. The bed in the master bedroom is a full size, not a queen. The bed linens and towels all had a funny smell. The linens smelled like they hadn't been washed prior to our arrival. The sliding door in the master bedroom does not lock. That is a safety concern, in my opinion. All in all, I would not stay at this property again and I do not recommend it. The entire unit is in need of upgrading and remodeling.

Island View December 2022

I loved the view and island style furnishings in the condo. It is a very short walk to the beach which is a small one due to past hurricane erosion. The balcony is spacious and enjoyable. Island View has everything you need. The host Earl Pearson was very helpful and quickly available by phone. Except for the shallow beach I would stay again. The bed in the main bedroom should be replaced especially for one with a bad back.There are plenty of beaches throughout St Croix.

Quiet and centrally located

We really enjoyed our stay. The views from the balcony are nice and we enjoyed morning coffee and breakfast looking at the bay. The condo is clean and well appointed. The only downside is the bed in the master bedroom was uncomfortable for us and felt a hard for our taste. This is just a personal preference, no reflection on the rest of the condo and complex. Will stay here again when on St. Croix.

Paradise perfect

This was a beautiful hideaway not too far from East town and on a gorgeous location. Although the moss was on the beaches the views and wind was magnificent. Communication was great and check-in very simple. Beautiful decor and large patio with garden view and pool. My family visited for a day and also loved it, very friendly staff & neighbors. Loved our stay.

Loved the property

This condo was in the best position of the entire complex for access and views. We felt safe at all times. We loved the huge deck and spent much of our time there. The ability to open doors on opposite ends of the unit to allow the breeze through was very nice. A couple of minor issues were quickly addressed by the owner. We would stay here again.

Great condo close to Christiansted

We loved the location of this condo on the beach and just a few minutes from town with all the great restaurants. Super clean and well maintained, the unit seems to have been recently renovated and had everything we needed. Great communication with the owner-we would love to come back to Colony Cove!

Never rent from R&R realty

Air Conditiiner in main living area did not work, patio door from the master bedroom, did not lock. Tv in master bedroom did not work. Furniture has a musty smell, the shower heads were rusted, so bad it looked like mold was growing on it.. Spoke to Earl Parson via text message several times during our stay. Claimed someone would be out immediately, which never happened..days went by, I continued to text him, and nothing was done.. I paid 1k to stay there for 5 nights..WORST PLACE EVER TO STAY..
