Green Woodpecker lodge is a recently refurbished 3 bedroom lodge, sleeping 6, on the banks of a lake in the Cotswold Water Park. Perfect for families or friends getting together. Dogs welcome (fee applies).

With a large open plan living area opening onto a deck overlooking the lake, complete with a luxury Jacuzzi hot tub, and a 2 person kayak, it's perfect for a relaxing break in The Cotswolds.

Close to Cirencester and other Cotswold villages there is plenty to do and explore. Free carp and trout fishing, tennis courts, table tennis, boules and children's playground on site. Pool tables and table football in games room.
Local restaurants and pubs and 720 Pizzaria, many within walking distance.

Seasonal events such as duck races and ice rink locally. Cirencester Corinium Museum, Cricklade Railway, beer fest and Vintage weekends, Gloucester Vintage and Country Extravaganza takes place in South Cerney in August. Cheltenham racecourse and many other activities throughout the year.

Communication and check in very good .Property was freezing on arrival - heating all off, once on it was much warmer ! Quite dusty and all glasswork light fittings smeared. Rest of house , bedding and towels very clean.Hot tub very exposed , so didn’t use as much but lively when we did. Lots of work being done on other peripheries and gardeners cutting grass and leaf blowing , so not relaxing on the 2 days we spent outside .Views beautiful and lots of local stuff to do.Make sure you book restaurants as they all get rather booked up.Front door exposed and lots of cold air coming through. Great TV and good for entertainment. Guide book very useful .Advert says Kayak at back of house, but is locked in a different area. Would have been nice to use in the lack nearest to us.Parts of the property need painting and attention on some of the cleaning Apart from those things , the stay was pleasurable.Thanks … the 3 B gang !

Fabulous property

Host was very efficient and helpful. Property amazing. Clean and modern with plenty of space for the 6 of us. The hot tub an added bonus. Location was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about the stay. We will be back !

Lovely property for a weekend break!

We had a lovely long weekend break at the Lodge. It was well equipped and comfortable. Communication from the owners was great. I’d highly recommend!

Lovely place to stay

We enjoyed our stay, especially having a hot tub to use which our boys loved, the position of the property was excellent as it's near the football pitch and games room. The whole site is really well maintained too. We loved the water sports on the lake behind the property and there were many lovely walks to take the dogs on. The only thing that is missing is a shop nearby for essential items. Also as we had a fair bit of rain and what with being in the hot tub and kayaking etc we had a lot of wet clothes and towels and we found it difficult to get them dry, so maybe another airer at the property would be useful!?
