The Guest House on Flagpole Mountain is located in the heart of The Choctaw Nation, Oklahoma.
Stargazers will love our dark skies at night and will enjoy views of Sardis Lake and Wolf Mountain during the day from this tiny Guest House on Flagpole Mountain - the perfect location to view the stars, crawl the rocks at Green Acres Offroad Park, or fish at Clayton Lake State Park and Sardis Lake.
Bring your mountain bikes, ATVs or SXS and explore the old Fire Tower at the top of Flagpole Mountain or check out Umbrella Rock. The Guest House is located at the top of Walter's Mule Trail, so you can unload and ride to Green Acres directly from the cabin.
When you're done playing, relax on the porch and watch the clouds form a blanket over Sardis Lake.
Our Guest House has high-speed wi-fi via Starlink, so bring your computer if you need to sneak in a video call before you hit the lake!
The Guest House on Flagpole Mountain is situated on a working farm, which includes chickens. One dozen farm-fresh eggs will be provided to guests during each visit, and additional eggs are available for purchase. If you're bringing children, let us know if you would like to meet the chickens or gather the eggs from the nest. Firewood is also available on-site.
PRIVACY
Your privacy is paramount. You may see us from afar, working on the property, but we will never interrupt your vacation for small talk. The Guest House has its own private entrance/gate, and the driveway loops to another gate for pull-through parking.

WILDLIFE
Beware - you are in the middle of the woods out in the country. There are black bear, wild hog, mountain lion, raccoons, bobcats, skunks, coyote, tarantula, rattlesnakes and copperheads, spiders, wild dogs, and lots of other critters that want to bite you, sting you, or potentially even kill you. If you go hiking anywhere, please be mindful of your surroundings and your step. The black-tailed timber rattlesnakes are deadly venomous. A momma bear with cubs or a hungry mountain lion are your most unwanted guests. Wherever you go hiking, on property or off, stay on the trails!
NO SHOOTING/NO HUNTING ANYWHERE ON PREMISES
Please do not shoot guns on property. There is a public gun range east
of Clayton on 271, but you need an OK hunting license to use it.
