CASA TUCANSILLO

Casa Tucansillo is a very bright and spacious bungalow, with large windows from which you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding garden and tropical plants. There is no noise except that of nature, it’s a wonderful place for you to relax. You can often see hummingbirds, squirrels, coatis, monkeys and guatuzas also visit us.

The house has a large kitchen which is fully equipped, hot water shower, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, cable tv and wifi.

The space:
Casa Tucansillo has a privileged position with a view of almost the entire property. It is a spacious bungalow, with large windows on three sides from which you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding garden.

The layout of the bungalow is loft style and offers you a very large space with a comfortable double bed, dining area as well as a fully equipped kitchen. You will find plenty of space to store your belongings. An air conditioner and ceiling fan ensure your preferred temperature.

You can enjoy your meals in a peaceful atmosphere amidst our tropical garden. You are surrounded by beautiful tropical plants and can often see colibris and other types of birds. Squirrels, coatis, monkeys and guatuzas also come to visit us.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, small oven, coffee maker, microwave, blender and everything you may need for your stay. The ensuite bathroom provides you with a hot water shower.

Guest access:
The cabin is located about 1 km uphill from Montezuma and the quiet neighbourhood makes it a perfect place to relax, surrounded by nature.

There are several small cabins on the property but they are set up in a way to ensure privacy for each of them and you have your own private area around your cabin.

Getting around:
The bus between Montezuma and Cobano runs every 2 hours directly in front of our property. It costs 350 colones. Alternatively, you can take a taxi for only 2000 colones, or you can walk and exercise, in only 20 minutes you will be in Montezuma. In case you walk, neighbours are often willing to give you a ride and if we are driving to town we are happy to take you as well. 

Interaction with guests:
We will welcome you personally to our property and show you around. As we live on the property ourselves as well, you can easily come see us if you need anything. If we are not home, feel free to call us and we are happy to help.
We also own horses and run a tour agency in Montezuma (Cabo Blanco Travelers). So we can organise many different activities for you at great rates. Horseback riding, snorkelling tours, canopy zip lining, surf lessons, fishing, hiking, transportation in the area and many other things.

Other things to note:
We own dogs but they are always under our care and locked up in our own private area. However, it is good to know in case you are looking for us at our house.

Wild animals such as coatis, guatuzas, monkeys, squirrels often come to visit. Please do not feed them, they are wild animals and should not be disturbed in their own environment. Sometimes pizotes may come and search for food, please do not feed them or try to pet them. These animals seem calm but they are wild and unpredictable when disturbed in their natural environment.
