This two-story house sits on a 3.5 acre hillside property surrounded by jungle providing a VERY PRIVATE and TRANQUIL backdrop for your tropical get away, yet it is conveniently centrally located town. With beautiful indoor/outdoor design elements and just steps from the INFINITY POOL, the house features a spacious kitchen, dining area, living room and bathroom on the first level and TWO MASTER SUITES with private bathrooms and balcony upstairs.

What a beautiful property! Incredible ocean-views, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, wildlife (monkeys, iguana, birds), and the jungle and ocean sounds. Check-in was seamless and Mikey even booked a massage at the house for us (which was amazing!). Wilfredo made us feel very safe, and kept the pool spotless and we enjoyed visits from his lovely dog Kira. Would be back in a second.

Fantastic family stay

We recently spent a week at The Rock House while visiting Costa Rica and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was beautiful and the photos on VRBO accurately reflect it. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. AC units are available in both bedrooms. The kitchen was well-equipped. We really enjoyed the salt-water pool and the outdoor hook and ring game and made good use of both! Wilfredo, the caretaker, lives in a small home on the property and took great care of the pool and grounds and helped us out when we were dealing with some ants in the house.A few things to be aware of in the area: - The road up to the house is STEEP and a 4x4 is highly recommended. It's also great exercise to walk up and down which we did every day!- The town and beach right at the bottom of the hill was not our favourite. It was relatively dusty, probably since that section of road is unpaved, and occasionally smelled of garbage. However, if you travel either north or south at all things were quite nice. There are many nice restaurants to choose from close by. Our favourite beach was Playa Hermosa (about a 15 min drive north).We loved our time in Costa Rica and would happily suggest The Rock House to anyone travelling to the area! Muchas gracias por todo!

Simply amazing!

Got back from spending 7 days at "The Rock House". What an amazing trip and the house made it for us. I took my girl there to celebrate a milestone birthday and we had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay. The pictures on the site are beautiful but they cannot capture how amazing the views are and how nice the house is. Loved the pool, the kitchen (I cook) and it was very well appointed. The living area downstairs is perfect for relaxing, reading, or taking a nap while listening to the surf below. It is rainy season so we took advantage of the morning/noon sun and chilled during the rains in the afternoon when they came through. Note: If flying into Liberia and renting a car to drive there. The only route to Santa Teresa you should consider is Rt 21 to the coastal road 160 S to ST. Don't do what we did! Using Waze routed us down 163 through the peninsula. The road was 70% gravel/dirt and when we got to within 30 minutes of the house we crested a small hill to be greeted by a 50 yard river blocking our path. This resulted in our having to back track 2.5 hours to get back on RT 21 to 160. We spent almost 7 hours in the car to get there. It only took 3.5 to get back. Don't risk it. Also, make sure you have a 4WD rental. Also, the road to the house will almost require a 4WD vehicle as it is VERY steep. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS - rent an atv 4 wheeler while there. Mikey set this up for us and it made the trip. We could easily get off the property and into any place in town quic

Rock House - 5 stars is not enough!

Mikey and his staff were the best! The house is in great shape and clean. The view is amazing as is the pool and everything else about the house and the area . We had a 4x4 truck but Mikey set up an ATV for us also, giving us the option to to come and go at different times if we wanted. Yes the roads are really rough but for us that was half the fun. The location is close to everything. We did not want to leave and can’t imagine staying anywhere else on our next stay in Santa Teresa
