The Cottage with Spectacular Sceneries

Windmill Inn is located in picturesque Wapiti Valley, known for its stunning beauty and unique rock formations. Teddy Roosevelt called it “the most scenic 52 miles in America”. We’re conveniently located approximately 30 miles to Yellowstone and 20 miles to Cody, Wyoming. Our central location provides a good base to enjoy Yellowstone Park, Buffalo Bill Center of the West museum, white water rafting, fishing, hunting, hiking, and nightly rodeos in Cody. We also offer tours of Yellowstone and the surrounding area through our tour company called Grub Steak Expeditions.

This one bedroom cottage with kitchenette, has all the comforts of home. Complete with air conditioning, beautiful and comfortable king log bed, private bath, deck, barbeque, refrigerator, a perfect set-up for a long comfortable stay or quick get-away.

Located on 50 acres, adjacent to public lands, so lots of room to roam.

There is a two night minimum stay and no children allowed.

Like being in a Western movie set!!!
This beautiful Wyoming cottage is excellent- beautiful views on the deck in the front and in the back, and from every window! You will be right in the middle of real, authentic Western country..... and not too far from the city of Cody for a fantastic museum experience and a nighttime rodeo! Additionally, the eastern gate of Yellowstone awaits only a half hour away. Amazing, gorgeous drives are all around the area, which the owners kindly assist in planning with their guests. The gracious hostess of the cottage makes beautifully presented and delicious tasting breakfasts everyday for the guests who are fortunate enough to stay at this cozy retreat. You couldn't stay at a more relaxing place than this.... and with the most genuine and caring owners!!!!

AMAZING!!
Everything was perfect. From the check in, communication with the host, sleeping arrangements, cleanliness, and the yummy food - our stay was just right! In fact, I would rate it higher if I could. The cottage had everything we needed. The view is spectacular. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and even gave us tips on where to go in Yellowstone. In addition, the location was perfect to travel to the East Gate of Yellowstone National Park. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Accommodations were comfortable. We stayed in the cottage. Bed was very comfortable. Nice decks to enjoy a glass of wine. Rod & Suzie were wonderful! They quickly felt like long time friends. The breakfast was incredible. The two mornings we left early thinking we would miss breakfast - nope Suzie packed us a wonderful box breakfast! Beautiful night sky! Highly recommend!

SPECTACULAR!!!
I don't even know where to begin. It all seems like a dream. I have never stayed at a B&B this nice in my life. I mean everything was perfect. I am a lover of fine details and the impeccable taste at the tiniest of details that Rod and Suzie exhibited was, well, impeccable. If I ever start a B&B then I hope I can impart a tenth of the luxury and comfort that Rod and Suzie have created with this cottage. Everything, I mean everything was perfect to the last detail. The breakfast was marvelous. It was all just perfect. Additionally, Rod and Suzie are treasure troves of information on Yellowstone and I don't believe any website could offer me the sort of golden nuggets that they gave me on Yellowstone. When I visit Yellowstone again any time, this is the place I would opt to stay. I will change my vacation dates, if need be, so as to be able to stay here.
