Clean room but weird setup. It's "book" themed so there are stone "books" all over the walls of the shower, bathroom, etc. Even the floor had a stone "rug" and the large vanity (which had very little space for toiletries) was made of stone. Strangely enough, both the shower stall and the toilet stall (facing each other) had glass doors so it would be awkward for two people to use both at the same time. It was also awkward to use the bathroom stall with the glass door. The roof was nice with snacks and drinks but the staff was sparse so forget about extra service. Checking in was odd too. The lobby is tiny and not always staffed. You have to ring a bell outside to get in or if the door is open (not often) you must go in a glass door and ring a bell. Bed was nice. Towels were good. View was nice into the square.

The room was quiet, clean and pleasantly decorated. It was on the 4th floor at the back of the building. The location was easy to find in the heart of the attractions. The breakfast was exceptional with lots of choices. From afternoon to midnight there are pastries and beverages for free in the lounge.

Great place to stay in Coimbra. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The property is fantastic with terrific views, too. There were a couple aggressive panhandlers (beggars) near the property, but we still rate this hotel 5 stars, so we loved it.

This property was perfect in every way. Many restaurants, great walking to all sites. A short and interesting walk to the university. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The views from the rooftop patio were gorgeous. We would choose this property again in a heartbeat.

Great breakfast. Beautiful, quirky hotel, in the center of all the action, though also quite comfortably quiet.) Staff helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. The only criticism (and this would have been a deal-breaker had we known ahead of time) is COMPLETE lack of bathroom privacy. All glass walls and doors!

This is a lovely and eclectic hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The breakfast and afternoon tea were fine dining quality. Communication by the hotel about local events that may disrupt our stay was communicated far in advance. We had an absolutely lovely stay!

The staff and breakfast on rooftop were great. We enjoyed afternoon snack with a wonderful view. Although the room was clean, the hotel needs to replace the carpet. There was a large stain in our room. The location was great and a walkable distance to many restaurants, the river and university.
