Rest and recharge with mattresses brand-new in late 2022, or play on the lake with your group! With few distractions in a peaceful rural setting, the quaint lakefront living at this home will win over your heart. You could easily spend full days boating and fishing on the lake, but if you'd like to explore in town, Colchester is about six miles east and offers shopping, dining, and entertainment options for all ages. The nearest public beach, Thayer Beach, is also a short walk west, though this home includes beachfront access. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate a trip to the 584-acre Niquette Bay State Park, which sits on the north shores of Malletts Bay nine miles to the northeast. For eclectic urban culture, take a trip about eight miles south to Burlington, known for its microbreweries, liberal attitude, and as the birthplace of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. There's also a renowned farmer's market in Burlington, so pick up some fresh Vermont-grown produce!

Spend quality time with the ones you love in this home's cozy, cabin-like interior. Full of rustic accents, including comfortable furnishings, new bathroom flooring, exposed beam ceilings, and knotty pine walls, the interior provides the perfect refuge needed for relaxation at the end of an activity-filled day. You'll find a nearby TV with basic cable channels.

Head outside on clear days to take in the beautiful views of Lake Champlain and watch boats sail by from the home's sprawling lawn. Outside you'll also find a bi-level patio, which is the perfect place for a picnic or a barbecue - fire up the gas grill! Just beyond the deck lies the sandy shorefront for sunbathing and swimming.

Back in the kitchen, pots, pans, and plenty of other cookware combine with standard appliances for quick and easy meal prep. Lay out pre-meal snacks on the ample counter, then, when the main entrees are ready, move over to the adjacent table with bench and chair seating for your whole group.

With a washer/dryer, you can pack light, and with WiFi throughout, you'll stay connected to friends and family online.

Witness the beauty of Lake Champlain and find numerous adventures steps away from this waterfront vacation home. Book it today!

Great getaway
Great stay...loved all the wood. Great view. The only thing i wished they would have done was snow plowed the driveway (or shoveled it).

Location, location, location!
Rustic house (cabin?) with a nice log cabin like feel on the inside. It's an older home (1950) but served its purpose for our stay. Location is awesome, right on the lake at the end of a dead end road. Very quiet. Water is non-potable which wasn't in the listing we saw but wasn't a big deal. Just be aware and bring bottled water.

Needs some TLC
The lake and location are great, super quiet street. The house has more furniture now than pictured above, and as noted in older reviews the mattresses are all pretty new. That said, the bathroom/shower had lots of black mold and the kitchen sink had layers of mold/mildew in it. Also the windows leaked when it rained (it was pretty windy as well but there was water coming in through the bottom of the sill). Just needs some basic maintenance and better cleaning!

Great spot on the lake.
Exactly as described. Nothing fancy but clean and well stocked with everything you need. Amazing sunsets and plenty to do in the area. Wi-Fi worked great.

Lovely beach but hot water runs out fast
This was a nice location in a peaceful neighborhood, beautiful sunset views from the backyard/beach. The shower does run cold after 9-10 minutes, and we noticed some concerning stains on linens and seat cushions. Also this isn't really anyone's fault but the wind blowing bushes, etc. against the walls did keep us up some at night. A solid 4 out of 5!

Comfortable and Cozy
Great views of the lake and sunsets. Just enough privacy. Conveniently located and quick access to Burlington. My kids keep asking “when are we going back to the lake?”

A few upgrades and this place would be great
It’s really simple. These people could throw a few thousand into this place and it would be 100x better. To start and probably the biggest thing is the mattresses. They are 1000 years old and unbelievably uncomfortable. Like really really bad. You’re better off sleeping on the floor. The trash in the house is kept in a closet. That closet isn’t fully enclosed and the top of it opens up to a bedroom. So, the first bedroom on the left will smell like trash. The living room furniture includes a wicker couch , and green chair with a leg rest and a broken recliner. The wicker couch is designed to be outdoors and was probably purchased around the same time the mattresses were. There is carpeting in the bathroom that’s looked like it’s been there since the house was built. I couldn’t believe it. Even around the toilet. Gross. The place was squeaky clean, that and the view out the back were the only positives to this place. New furniture, new comfortable mattresses and tile in the bathroom and this place would be great.
