The hotel bedroom was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything you need in the room for a pleasant stay. The staff we encountered all seemed very friendly and helpful. Parking is easy and the hotel is surrounded by beautiful grounds. We always choose this hotel when visiting our relatives in Colchester.

Really friendly check in (and out), staff throughout the hotel were friendly. Grounds were really nice to walk around, breakfast was nice and having the additional cooked to order elements was great. Room was lovely. Minor feedback would be that the pillows were not great, but all in it was a really lovely hotel.

We stayed here on our Ruby Wedding Anniversary as we had our wedding reception here and this was the first time we had gone back in 40 years! Staff very attentive and had sprinkled red hearts on the bed and on our dining table with little lights. The food was delicious, lovely evening meal and very good breakfast in the morning. Over all a lovely nostalgic stay for us and we will definitely return.
