Sol is one of four mirror cabins at Luminary Resorts @ Hilltopâan Asian Zenâinspired hideaway where everything is softened on purpose. The lines are clean, the palette is warm, and the space feels gently cocooned, like it was built to hold quiet. Come for a reset, for romance, or for the kind of stillness you donât have to explainâjust you, the view, and a slower pace.
â Location & The VIEWâ Hilltop is a rare lift in East Texasâan elevated pocket where the trees fall away and the horizon finally opens. From the glass walls and the deck, the river valley stretches out in calm layers: treetops, forest, sky. The air feels different up hereâlighter, steadier. Youâll see birds riding the thermals, and if you want water time, Lake Livingstonâs boat launch is just 3 minutes away for boating, fishing, and simple days on the lake.
â Insideâ Sol is 365 sq ft, intentionally minimalâAsian Zen calm with modern comfortâso the room stays quiet and the mood stays easy. Wood tones, stone textures, and soft neutrals (curated by a talented local designer) create a space that feels private and grounded, like a small sanctuary meant for two.
The glass walls pull the outdoors close. The view follows youâfrom the bed to the lounge chairs to the kitchenetteâso youâre always held by trees and sky. When you want to turn inward, automated blinds glide down with a touch and the cabin becomes more intimate, more hush. Above the bed, the skylight is there for nights when you donât want a screenâjust darkness, stars, and the feeling of being tucked away.
The kitchenette is compact but thoughtfully composedâcurated dishware and glassware, an induction cooktop, and a Nespresso machine with frother for quiet mornings and slow sips. The bathroom is simple and spa-like: a deep soaking tub, a rain shower with a view, a modern smart toilet, and plush Luminary towels that make the routine feel softer.
At night, everything narrows to comfort. The luxury king-size mattress invites real sleepâthe kind that comes when the world finally goes quiet. Put music on the Marshall speaker, settle into the plush chairs with the coffee table between you, and let the cabin dim. Later, cue a film on the Yaber projector and share an unhurried movie nightâwarm light, low voices, nothing to rush.
â Yard & The Deckâ Arriving at Sol feels like entering a small courtyard. Bamboo and layered privacy fencing create intentional separationâlittle sections of yard that reveal themselves as you walk through, inspired by Asian courtyard design where the space unfolds in steps rather than all at once. Itâs calm, private, and surprisingly transporting. If you drive an EV, you can plug in right away with the Tesla charger (J1772 adapter provided).
Past the courtyard layers, the deck opens wideâclean lines, open sky, and a long view across treetops and the valley. In the center is the 18â x 9â pool (4.5â deep)âperfect for cooling off, floating, and letting time pass without a plan. The deck stays simple on purpose: space to move, space to sit, space to look out.
The grill is positioned facing the panorama, so cooking stays easy and relaxedâfood, fresh air, and that steady view in front of you. Across the pool, two lounge chairs sit under the triangle sail shade for warm days, with room for long afternoons and quiet evenings. Itâs the kind of setup where you can read, talk, nap, and watch the light shiftâwithout needing to go anywhere.
As the day ends, Sol gets especially beautiful. The sunset comes in softlyâgold on the deck, a warm glow on the cabin glass, and clouds that change shape and color every night. When the string lights come on, the whole space feels gentler, and itâs natural to stay outside a little longerâone more dip, one more conversation, one more deep breath before you go in.
Other things to note â Parkingâ There are plenty of parking spaces. 2 -3 cars can comfortably on the dedicated parking spot and on the driveway.
â Trailer / Boat Parkingâ You can park a trailer by either side of Snowhill Rd. There is plenty of space for trailer parking.
â EV Chargerâ We have Level 2 EV charger in the parking area. It is a Tesla charger with J1772 adapter.
â Petsâ We do allow pets during your stay with us. There is a $50 flat one-time fee (not per pet). The fee is issued to our cleaners to apply additional procedure for the next guests. You must notify us at least 1 day before arrival and pay the pet fee prior to getting the lockbox code.
