This beautiful and spacious home in the Pines is perfect for up to 12 guests. It's minutes away from several recreational lakes and just over an hour from Lake Tahoe. It's also located in close proximity to ski areas, and only 71 minutes by car to Squaw Valley Resort. Our home is the perfect place to refresh after a day of playing in the snow!


Featuring three king beds, a queen and four twins you can easily sleep 12 guests in comfort between the four bedrooms. Enjoy a game of pool or air hockey, sit by the fire or relax in the hot tub. You will be ready to take on the slopes or explore the many outdoor areas in the morning!


The house has a full kitchen equipped with refrigerator and oven, and has a large dining area to fit your entire party whether it's your family or a small group of friends. 


The property is located just 4 minutes off the freeway, so you will be worlds away from the busyness of everyday life.

Fantastic Stay for Families
We loved our stay! My kids (6),(7),(14) my husband and myself all had such a lovely time. There were so many well thought out things to do for all ages to enjoy. While the TV is iffy due to satellite I found we didn’t even miss it and truly enjoyed our time together as a family playing games, doing puzzles, playing on the swings, or checking out all the fun games in the loft! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family during our stay, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, saw deer every single day and truly got to relax. If you are sensitive to noise or a light sleeper - there is a train that comes by several times a day and does blow its horn loudly because the home is right near the intersection. It bothered us on the first night but we acclimated quickly and didn’t mind it for the rest of the stay. Our host was quick to respond to any questions and very kind. Thank you!

Perfect Family Retreat
We loved this home for our family. All of the beds were very comfy. Had all kinds of entertainment for all ages. It had basically everything we needed to hangout together and enjoy our time together. Our 2 year old grandson got so excited when the train came through ☺️ We hope to stay here again in the future! Also, a big thank you to Marcus for great communication and going out of your way for us.

Short stay in Colfax
This is a lovely home in a great location. It has a wonderful feel being at this home. The home is not far from the highway but in the woods. We saw deer walking near the door when we came home. Check in and communication is excellent. The home is exactly as described. The home is spacious and plenty of room for a large group. The home is clean has a pool table, air hockey and a fireplace. We absolutely enjoyed our time here and would definitely rent again.

Nice size house with lots of extras like pool table and indoor games, lots of bed options and in a beautiful setting in the woods just off the highway fie easy access. My only complaint is to update the TV’s and have the TVs be smart TV’s.

Very nice stay
This is a very nice property. It accommodated our family gathering very comfortably. Everything was nice. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare family dinners. The large dining table accommodated nicely. We particularly enjoyed the deck, patio, and yard. The horseshoe pit was a big plus. The railroad tracks are very close and trains do come by several times a day, but that was not a problem. Internet service is good. We look forward to a return visit.

Family Retreat
We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful home. It’s perfect for a large family or group of friends who want to just spend time together. The home was clean, and fully stocked for all our basic needs. Everyone had plenty of space to spread out and both the home and property were amazing. We are hoping to plan a return trip in the summer.

Perfect family cabin getaway
The cabin (house) is Goldilocks. Just right elevation to avoid summer heat. Just close to Rollins Lake for water fun. Just close to Gold Country towns (Empire Mine State Park is one example). Just close to Reno for Auto Museum, Did a overt Museum, or other choices. Just close enough to I-80 to get up and go. Just close enough to Colfax for strolling, meals out, and a great little grocery store. Plus plenty of activities at the cabin: pool table, hot tub, rope swing, lots of games and books and movies. House was very clean, very well furnished. Owner was immediately available to answer some minor questions. We would definitely come back.
