The room was very spacious and clean. Location is fantastic as the hotel is right next to the overground station. This was a saviour as there was terential rain on the day. Service on the hand, possibly understaffed. The breakfast arrangement was a terrible sight with plates left piled across all the tables. Also I strongly recommend that they place a fragerance in the entrance to the reception as the scent of stale food combined with other ill smelling factors was very unpleasant.

We had a two night stay in Köln Premiere Inn. We had a lovely time and found the hotel to be fine. It is within walking distance of the centre (about 20mins) and there are lots of restaurants near the railway. We drank in the bar one night and played games. It was very pleasant with no problems. We parked in the Saturn car park which is attached to the hotel.

This is a really nice hotel, in a building that is 100 years old this year. The beds are very comfortable, bathroom facilities are good, with a decent shaving mirror. The breakfast was good and was sufficient for me requiring a vegan menu, although would have liked vegan sausages, but the ham and salami substitutes made up for that. Sadly the area around the hotel has seen better times. The U-bahn station is opposite the hotel’s main entrance and the staircases and elevators stink of urine, and could do with a visit from the Cologne City Cleansing Department. It is also right next to Hansaring S-bahn Station which has connections to Cologne Hauptbahnhof, and other regional stations in the North Rhine-Westphalia region such as Dusseldorf, Aachen, and Koblenz which we visited using the hotel as a base to sleep and have breakfast. It is also less than 1 mile away from the Cologne Cathedral, which is a nice walk down quiet back streets.
This hotel is on the horizon right of the Cathedral with the word ‘Saturn’ on the top.

Nice hotel

The hotel was close to the centre, 10min walk. There was also a station right by the hotel if needing transport to the centre station, too. The bar and lounge area was very nice and the room was very clean. The staff on check-in were lovely. One small downfall was the noise of the door at night, you could hear the main door slamming each time someone would enter or exit.

The hotel is located right off the Hansaring Station which is one stop from Cologne Central Station. There is a subway station in front of the hotel as well. It’s also walkable to all attractions if you prefer to walk around. The staff is friendly, and the room is clean and spacious. Need a card to access the floor and the room that makes us feel safe. We will stay here again.

Short city break for two

Very large and comfortable room with good clean facilities. There was no coffe maker or kettle though which seemed a bit odd for a 4-star hotel. Nevertheless, the locarion was great with just a short walk into the city centre and next to a S-bahn station, just one stop from the main railway station.

Not Good Value for Money

Booked two Superior Double Room for six nights, one of the room was not supplied with kettle, tea and coffee. Asked the reception, they said they have upgraded us for one of the rooms which provided kettle, tea and coffee. So the result was I paid that much money for Superior Double room with no kettle provision. For the TV, most of the channels did not have signal and cannot be watched. On the third day, the housekeeper did not top up coffee and tea, went down to ask the reception and they said they will get us some in a minutes. I waited all night and it did not happen. I was not impressed with this hotel. There is no lobby next the reception area, only a reception desk. To me, it does not look like a 4 star hotel.
