Pura Vida is Hill Country living at its finest! This amazing hilltop home includes a guest house and a poolside cabana that features an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Tucked away, on the mountain top in Canyon Oaks Subdivision, this will definitely give you the ultimate Frio River vacation. This newly renovated 4 bedroom, 3 bath, plus casita has an open concept living that is drenched in sunlight. The dining room overlooks the pool area, giving you the tranquility you need. The additional space in the Casita will give you and your guest a separate living area, providing a master bedroom plus full bathroom, and additional sleeping space in the living area. You will be able to look out the back and enjoy the overlook of the Frio Canyon area. Providing plenty of sitting space for relaxation to look out over the pool and serene mountain scenery. The deck will definitely be the perfect spot to enjoy the perfect sunset and sunrise. Where every start of the day feels like you are touching the sun and the end of the day feels like you are saying good bye to an old friend. For the grill master there's a a charcoal smoker for you and your family to enjoy. Fun for the entire family starts with board games, corn hole, darts, and giant Jenga. This retreat is for the guest who seeks an outstanding resort-style vacation experience. This home will give you sanctuary, you'll find staying here a perfect day in the Pura Vida.

PET FEES: This rental requires a pet fee of $25/day for each pet. All pets must be kept in a kennel when left behind at the property and leashed when outside. Pet fee will be collected after booking confirmation.


To help keep the cost of your rental down, we do offer our guest the option to bring their own Linens and Towels. We do offer the option to rent them at an extra cost. If wanting to rent linens and towels for your stay, please allow us 3 weeks prior to arrival notice. Make note that we do have a limited supply and cannot guarantee we will have lines and towels readily available.

LINENS: Bring linens and pillowcases, pillows, blanket/bedspread are provided.

CHAIRS: Bring folding or sack chairs to take to the river. The chairs at the rental should not be removed from the property.
PAPER GOODS: Paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, paper plates, plastic cups, plastic ware.
SOAP: Dishwashing, laundry and hygiene products
BBQ: There are BBQ cooking utensils, but remember to bring charcoal/lighter/matches.
Your kitchen is complete with dinnerware, silverware, glasses, basic cookware, coffee pot, microwave, pots & pans.

Overall, the property was fantastic! We enjoyed the outdoor space by the pool where we got to grill steaks and sit at the bar and visit. Both homes were wonderfully decorated and cozy. It fit our party of 10 perfectly. One person enjoyed the pool, and the others enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Lol. The area was clean and comfortable. We will definitely come again.

the house is great but the pool area is even better

This is a beautiful home that sits on top of a high hill in the Texas Hill Country. The indoor space is comfortable and generous. The casita on the other side of the pool is wonderful for helping a group spread out. It is the outdoor space that puts this property over the top. The pool, the lounging deck, the full bar, the sitting area around an outdoor fireplace--all of it is terrific. The agency is easy to work with as well. Highly recommend!

2023 Family vacation

The property was beautiful no dout especially the view the house does need more cleaning cause it was pretty dirty but it was manageable unfortunately when we got there the ac from the guest house didn't work the manager was super fadt to get us window units but just imagine the drapes would not go all the way down so it was like a must wake up super early cause of all the light from the windows,the pool needed cleaning but they never went so its a beautiful place but it was not that good of experience for us if we wouldn't have had all those issues differently a 5 star home

Overall, A+. Beautiful and clean home. Our only frustrations would be that the things we did have issues with, were the same issues we had last year. We made them aware of the issues last year, and they still have not been fixed. Cloudy pool, fridge in kitchen does not get cold, coffee maker does not work, very slippery/dangerous spots around the pool.

The kids enjoy the pool area they are in there from morning till dark. I love the new extra stuff they have added. I look forward to my vacation every year. God willing I will continue to go every year. This is what I love to do. To be at this house it is priceless when you see all the kids of all ages even the adults having fun and enjoying every bit of it. You just can't put a price on that. Many blessings see you all next year..
