I paid for the property. I received the address of the building. We arrived around 7:30pm. The agency wrote that we needed to pickup the key adjacent to their agency from a key box. I did it.
Taxis in the area do not respond to immediate calls from phone numbers based in the states.
We walked up a great hill with our luggage to the address and the key did not have a number on it. It had a name.
I knocked on an apt with the same number as the address and a nice man of advanced years led me to the correct apartment.
I am unfamiliar with the locking mechanism of that door. I worked with keys and locks to businesses and homes for 30 years in Los Angeles with LADWP. Another tenant had to explain this to me before I could leave the apartment.
They left their office at six. I paid for access.
They explained the key box in detail. Yet they could not have a single person available for a paying customer.
You decide if this is good business.
The Apartment was exact in almost every way to the pictures and the location is a good location. THE BED WAS THE SIZE ADVERTISED BUT VERY HARD. I sleep on a sleep number bed at home on a setting of 80 and this was too hard for me.
We enjoyed the town of Concarneau very much. We loved the seaside ambiance. The local seafood was wonderful and the local restaurants great. The service throughout was exceptional.

Traumhafte Unterkunft und perfekter Service
Die Wohnung ist wirklich perfekt. Sie ist sehr hell, super sauber sowie liebevoll und durchdacht eingerichtet. Man kommt an und fühlt sich direkt wohl und zuhause.
Das Bett ist fest aber sehr bequem, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen.
Die Küche ist gut durchdacht und es ist alles vor Ort was man benötigt um sich selbst zu Versorgen.
Das Wohnzimmer ist gemütlich und die Aussicht vom Balkon sehr, sehr schön. Der Balkon lädt zum Verweilen ein und durch die Ausstattung kann man dort gemütlich frühstücken oder Abendessen.
Auch der private Parkplatz ist ein großes Plus.
Die Lage ist sehr angenehm. Es war sehr ruhig im Haus und die Fenster sind gut schallisoliert, so dass man auch die Straße nicht hört.
Die Innenstadt kann man sehr gut mit dem Rad erreichen, alternativ stehen aber auch wirklich ausreichend Parkplätze innenstadtnah zur Verfügung.
Baguette, Croissants und mehr bekommt man fußläufig (bei: Le Grand Bleu bar tabac presse). Auch der Strand ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreicht.
Der Schließmechanismus der Wohnungstür ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig (wir haben so etwas vorher noch nicht gesehen). Der Türgriff muss beim Aufschließen nach oben bewegt werden und auch zum Schließen der Tür von Innen. Wenn man es aber einmal verstanden hat ist es unkompliziert.
Der Service vom Mariette-Team ist ebenfalls perfekt. Sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert (es wird fließend Englisch und Deutsch gesprochen!)

Eine Möglichkeit die Fahrräder unterzustellen wäre toll.
(Wir haben sie am Parkplatz am Zaun gesichert, das ging auch.)
