The house is a very old farm house in which they made some modern enhancements. It's on a quiet secluded country road with a small creek running through the front of the property.
There's a nice small area in front to BBQ and sit outside enjoying nature (with a firepit). Note, if you have kids with you, there is not much property to run around outside.
The biggest issue we had was with A/C. The listing says "central A/C". Since, we came in July during a very hot and humid week we specifically asked the owners beforehand to confirm that there is air conditioning in the house, to which they responded: " Yes, the house has central A/C".
It does not!
There is a single split unit on the main floor which cools the living room well and does an OK job for the kitchen. The attic, which had one king size bed, also has a split unit, which is good enough. However, the second floor, which has three bedrooms, DOES NOT HAVE ANY A/C!! We had a very uncomfortable night. This was especially frustrating since we specifically asked about the AC beforehand. We left before our second night and the owners were kind enough to immediately refund the second night but we were left with a very bad taste. More frustrating than the uncomfortable night sleep was the dishonest response.
A few other points to note. The attic has a king size bed but is not very practical. First, the ceilings are extremely low so anyone over 5'6" will find it difficult to use the attic. Second there are many skylights and windows without any coverings so it's difficult to sleep there once the sun comes up.
Also, since it's an old converted farmhouse there is no insulation in many parts of the house, which could impact winter months.
Overall, it's a clean charming property, easy check-in, well stocked kitchen but we were disappointed.
