Sunshine Shack - 2 bedroom, In-Town, Dog Friendly, Near the Beach!

The Sunshine Shack is a bright and welcoming 2-bedroom, 1-bath detached cottage in the heart of Port Aransas. While it's tucked away in a quiet enclave, it is within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and other attractions and is only a few blocks from the beach. Inside, you'll find a colorful and spacious living/dining area off of a large kitchen that has what you need to cook the catch of the day. There is a covered deck out front to relax and enjoy the Gulf breezes. The two bedrooms share a full bath with a tub/shower combination. Each bedroom has a king bed and plenty of closet space. In the hall is a laundry closet with a full size washer and dryer. Please bring your preferred laundry detergent.

Outside, you'll find a large patio for enjoying the gulf breezes and a fenced SHARED yard that is shared by the complex for your four-legged friends to use. We've just added a shared breezeway for the complex with covered seating and a game area. It's a perfect place to unwind after a day at the beach.

This property is DOG friendly. We welcome well trained dogs (no puppies) that are not labeled as "aggressive breeds" with a limit of 2 dogs with a total weight under 100 lbs. We charge a $50 pet fee per dog (covers entire stay) and ask that you pick up after them when they do their duties outside and kennel or crate them if they are left home alone. If you are bringing a dog, please message us the breed, age and weight of your dog so we can pre-approve them. Unreported dogs will result in a $200 fee, and may result in immediate eviction without reimbursement for the entire reservation.

Cable television and wireless internet is included with your stay. There are 2 parking spaces in front of the cottage for you to park your vehicles. Any additional cars, boats or trailers will need to be parked on the street.

The Sunshine Shack is part of a five-unit property, so additional units can be rented to accommodate larger groups. Please contact us for details or with assistance in booking multiple units.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The location was great; very close to the beach and shops, which made it easy to get around and enjoy the area. The home was pet-friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the AC worked great, which was really appreciated. The host was also very communicative and responsive during our stay.While there were a couple of small suggestions /recommendations shared directly with the host, they did not take away from our overall experience. Overall, it was a comfortable stay in a convenient location. We would recommend.

Perfect Location!

This spot is the perfect location for your stay in Port Aransas. It's conveniently located in the center of town and is in walking distance to everything. My family and I truly enjoyed this property and will definitely stay again as well as recommend it to family and friends. Great choice:)

Home away from home

Sunshine Shack had everything we needed for our stay. We just had to buy groceries and snacks. Walking distance to eateries and shops. It can be a little noisey in the early morning hours due to the 24-hour eatery close by, but nothing a box fan can't cover up. Would definitely stay here again!

Last minute booking for my adult kids birthday- they loved it. It was perfect and what a great location. Super close to everything- stores, grocery, beach, carts. It was spotless. We thought it would smell like dog, but zero scent of animal in the place. If you are bringing a dog- there is an extra $50 cleaning fee - very reasonable- just not obvious on the price details of the Vrbo website. Still recommend the place.

We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again. Only thing I found wrong with the stay was one remote control in the bedroom didn’t work properly. Wasn’t really an issue though with the Roku app on my phone. AC worked a little too well lol and the house was nice and clean it was perfect for my family of 6.

Great little home

This home was perfect for us. The location was great - close to the beach, eating places & shopping. It had 2 super soft king beds & a cozy front porch. The owners responded within a couple of minutes when we text with questions. Recommend it.
