Shangri Lala PB121 is in Pirates Bay, a community is just outside the center of Port Aransas. It offers a fabulous slope entry pool, close to many of the restaurants, bars and shops that Port Aransas has to offer. One bedroom has a king. The second bedroom has a queen. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room. There are two full baths and the kitchen has everything you will need to cook your catch of the day. The colorful décor and exterior are a perfect compliment to a wonderful weekend or week in this condo. The condo offers 3 TV's along with wireless internet. This unit is pet friendly and smoking is not permitted. Come, Relax and Enjoy!! This unit has parking for 3 cars maximum. Any additional cars will be towed. This is not a golf cart accessible property. STR#382429

Great pools & location, interior needs work

The property is in an excellent location - close to the beach and the center of town, easy to get around. The pools are wonderful and great for kids. The management company was responsive to our issues. The condo imterior left a few things to be desired. The furniture and beds in general were uncomfortable, the TV could only be seen from three seats in the living room. The guest bedroom has a window that is constantly exposed to light, so the room never gets dark, which made sleeping hard. The TV in the guest bedroom has a DVD player, but no access to cable or streaming services, which was not disclosed, so unless you bring DVDs, the TV is useless. With a little updating of furniture and consideration of comfort, it could be a great place.

Nice layout with outdated decor. The sheets were a bit rough and the master bedroom bedspread had a big stain on it. Needs to be replaced. The guest bedroom has no curtains and broken plastic blinds. Bright lights shine through all night. It was fine for the price point.

Beautiful, clean condo in nice area!

The place was very nice, very clean, the pools and playground were perfect for families and kids. The place was well stocked. I would stay there again. The only down side is it’s on the bayside and not the beach side but it was so nice, I’d still stay there again.

Great place for adults

Floor plan was perfect for two couples that still want privacy. Kitchen set up was great, had everything that we needed. We were kinda of skeptical thinking this was a huge kid place but it was nice and quiet when we were there.

Decent Getaway

A little pricey for what you get. AC in the unit did not cool well - never got below 75 in 2 days. We contacted rental company and a maintenance person was sent only to tell us it was working fine. Again never cooled to the temp we had it set at which was a reasonable 70. One pan for cooking and no dish dishwasher detergent on site but we were expected to run the dishwasher before we left!! Fortunately, I had some packed so we were covered there. Considered a late check out but at $50 an hour decided against it. Returned keys and voiced the concerns with the AC, received a shoulder shrug and an “OK” the employee seemed extremely unconcerned with the complaint. Great pool areas and decent spot to grill!!

Disappointed in management of the rental

Pirates Bay was a great family destination. The pools were fun and the rental was nice as a whole but had several flaws. There is only one playground versus the two that were showed in the pictures. There was no hot water in the master bathroom shower nor was the toilet properly secured to the floor. The patio door to parking lot did not stay closed, so watch out if you have kids or pets running around. The shower curtain in the guest bathroom was not properly secured to the wall and fell on me when I took a shower. There were water stains on the indoor furniture, nails sticking out of the wall, rusty patio furniture and there was some trash left behind on the patio from previous occupants. Also, I left a $100 baby monitor camera behind and spoke to someone on the phone the same day we checked out mentioning exactly where we had left it in the bedroom and to please help recover it for us. They said they would get back to me the next day and proceeded to avoid my follow up calls and emails on several occasions after that. Two weeks and 5 guests later I got a hold of someone and was told they knew nothing about it and did not have it, with little explanation or effort to make things right. I understand if they couldn't recover the monitor, but the lack of effort and communication coupled with the overall condition of the rental will make me second guess another stay at this property.

Exactly what it looks like

Super clean and presents exactly like the photos. Pet friendly with concrete floors. Plenty of bedding with extra blankets and towels. Washer and dryer were a definite plus. We were able to enjoy the pool while there. Nice location, parking, and very clean.

We really enjoyed our stay in 121. We had 3 dogs so the concrete floors were perfect and easy to clean and sweep. We REALLY liked the blocked off entry ways. This allowed us to let our dogs out without have to get harnesses and leashes out. No worries about them getting out into the parking lot either. We didn’t use the pool but did tour it. It was clean and looked inviting. Overall good experience and we will stay again.

Great for small family and pet

This property is perfect for up to 6 people and a pet. It is more open inside than you can tell from the pictures. The floors are concrete, so you don’t have to worry about you pet damaging them. Also, the outdoor area is private which you can’t tell from pictures. We would definitely recommend and would rent again.

Overall, the condo is beautiful, and we had a great time! The 2nd bedroom has a full size bed (not queen as advertised), so that was disappointing. Minor maintenance issues were addressed at check-out. Would stay again 😊

Needs some updates, but very nice location!

Heads up, if you stay at pirates bay, no one will rent you a golf cart because you can't cross the highway in a golf cart. Also, the condo was very clean, well stocked with bathroom amenities, and kitchen equipment (we didn't use). I would suggest updating the rooms with bigger TV's. Sounds snobby, but after a long day at the beach, a TV and a couch to cuddle up on is nice. The TV in the living room is oddly placed and the volume is terrible. The TV's in the bedrooms are super small! The condo cooled down quickly and stayed cool. The closed patio is nice to store beach stuff on and not worry about it getting stolen. We would stay at pirates bay again! It was great for our family of 4.

Great stay!

The family and I had a great experience at pirates bay. It was great to lounge by one of the two pools available after day at the beach or shopping. Our accommodations were very comfortable and nicely decorated and made a a very relaxing vacation! I can’t wait to go again!
