Charming house, but not a good fit for us

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I think people should be aware of some issues we had while staying at this property. Pros: charming, roomy, centrally located, off street parking including a garage, **hot** water, cold ac, large fenced backyard if you have a dog. Neighbors were super friendly to us, we felt safe, no neighborhood noise or issues. Cons: Dog hair is weaved into every fabric in this house. The AC unit is so loud outside the master bedroom I had wear noise cancelling earphones to sleep. My husband actually left a day early, he said he couldn't take another night without sleep. When we showed up the bathroom sinks were full of dingy water, as if the cleaning people forgot to drain them. The fridge was 1/2 full of somebody else's half eaten and unwrapped foods. The house only has bedding and beds for 6, not 8. There is no "futon" in the living room, it's a couch, no sheets or blankets were provided. The blankets we found had so much dog hair in them my son's asthma was the worst it had been in months. We went and bought some sheets. The host stopped responding to us after we checked in, replied 4 days later, and said VRBO wasn't sending the messages. I'll give them the benefit of doubt, I know these things can happen. I mentioned to them about the half eaten food, and they seemed to think I was exaggerating, so I sent a video to them. Probably one of my least pleasant rental experiences.

Would stay in host's properties again!

There were some AC issues, but the host accommodated us very well--what could have been a terribly hot stay was cool and comfortable thanks to her intervention-- some things are unpredictable, but due to her response, would definitely stay in one of her properties again

Perfect place for a get together

Originally rented this place as a spot to be closer with family for a little reunion, because of weather we couldn’t do our plans on the beach. Looking at the listing we noticed the host allows family gatherings and events so we took the party inside. We got to watch the UFC fight on a really nice TV and the whole house was perfect. Back porch was the highlight of our night as we had many family members enjoying a nightly sea breeze and hanging out with good company. We really appreciate the host for having this opportunity available and hope to have the option to rent again in the future. We made sure to keep the place as tidy as found but had a bit of difficulty getting all the trash bags taken outside because it started flooding outside the next day. (Just to clear it up the house didn’t flood it was perfect)
