This two story, 1-bedroom, 2-bath town home is the perfect getaway for a couple or a family with up to four kids. It's a 1-bedroom that can function like a 2-bedroom. Upstairs, the 16-foot cathedral ceiling and double height bay windows give a sense of majesty and serenity. Coupled with stunning sunrise views from the veranda overlooking Social Circle, plenty of closet space, a luxurious king bed, bath tub, writing desk, and 24-hour wifi, Billehusetâs upstairs is a perfect grownup hideaway.
Downstairs, beautiful artisan granite and stainless steel appliances make cooking family meals lots of fun! The kids will love the "under the stairs" bunk beds and comfy pull out sleeper sofa. Downstairs also has a closet, large chest of drawers, and full bath with shower, so the kids can stay downstairs! Everyone has their space while still being together making memories for a lifetime.
Many of the paintings found on Billehusetâs walls tell part of a very special story that the owners would like share with their guests:
After the difficult years of World War II, Axel and Else Madsen, a young Danish couple living in Copenhagen, purchased a small beach cottage on the island of Falster in southern Denmark. Axel, an aspiring businessman, and Else, a talented painter, had three children, all of whom shared the same traditional middle name: Bille. The cottage soon came to be known as Billehuset, which can also literally mean âBeetle Houseâ.
In later years, Axel and Elseâs grandchildren would join them at Billehuset for magical summer days on the Danish Baltic seaside, where memories of pine trees and sand and waves and seashells, along with wall after wall adorned with Elseâs original paintings created cherished and lasting memories for all.
These memories are the inspiration for our own Billehuset in Port Aransas, and we hope that our guests and their families will enjoy their stay and appreciate Elseâs many original paintings as well as our collection of colorful handmade pottery created by Austin potter Don Brimberry. This townhome is extremely small. The upstairs bedroom is more spacious than downstairs. Once the couch is made into a bed, there is only room to step over or squeeze by to get into the kitchen or restroom downstairs. We felt the credenza below the tv was useless and took up much needed space to move around. Make sure to bring your own cookware if you plan on cooking at the townhome. The kitchen was skimpily equipped. There was a keurig and full coffee pot. Two restrooms was great but limited counter space in the downstairs restroom. Overall, we felt very closterphobic downstairs in this townhome.
This was our first trip to Cinnamon Shore and we wanted a smaller location for two. This quaint townhouse is in the heart of everything - 1 minute walks to coffee, restaurants and the Town Center. Unit was immaculate and comfortable. Cinnamon Shore is 100% about guest experience, so everything from beach chairs to beach carts was easy. Families and kids everywhere. As noted in the listing, there is construction very close, so Monday morning came early. Regardless, we're looking forward to returning.
Our first time staying at Cinnamon Shores and we had a great time. Loved the multiple pool options, the easy beach access and all the in property restaurants. The condo itself was very clean and well appointed. Downstairs are two built in bunks under the stairs plus a kitchen, small eating area and a small sitting area. Upstairs is a spacious king bedroom with stackable washer and dryer which was super convenient! The condo was great for our family with aged 8 and 11 kids but thatâs probably the oldest I would recommend. Older kids probably would not find the bunks spacious enough to be comfortable. Great vacation at Cinnamon Shores and we will be back!
This was the perfect property for our family of four and is located smack dab in the center of Cinnamon Shore--you can almost throw a rock and hit town center. Will take about 20 seconds to get to see any music playing, outdoor movies, and all the food and restaurants. Adorable place inside. For those considering a first time stay make sure and get a golf cart and rent beach chairs/umbrellas for the day b/c YOU ARE ON VACATION! It was so great--we'll hope to return again! Weather is perfect this time of year--not too hot but definitely warm and lovely for the beach and pools everyday.
