Step inside Heron Hideaway and discover a thoughtfully designed space perfect for your coastal getaway. The heart of the home is the open-plan living area, featuring a comfortable sofa bed perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Adjacent is a fully equipped kitchen, ready for preparing delicious meals with all the necessary appliances, including a refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, and coffee maker. The dining area offers a dedicated space for enjoying meals together. The two bedrooms offer peaceful retreats. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious king-size bed, while the second bedroom features single beds, ideal for children or additional guests. Both bedrooms are designed with comfort in mind, providing ample storage and a relaxing ambiance. The two full bathrooms are well-appointed with all the essentials. Outside, the property offers a private backyard, complete with a playhouse for the kids and a fire pit for evening gatherings. there was mold and other debris in the ice bin in the freezer. Both bathrooms had sinks that did not drain well. The only frying pan in the kitchen was small, and the hand was loose. The cleanliness of some of the rugs was questionable.

We had to spray each other before going to bed. The TV in the living didnt work but was fixed the next day. The beach was not nice. Jellyfish ruined it for the kids. The water was so shallow.

Adorable House & Neighborhood

My family and I stayed here for our first time in Rockport for a 4th of July weekend beach vacation with our friends who stayed nearby. The location is amazing for being close to the beach and all things Rockport. The house was so cute and cozy, perfect for a family. This is the perfect beachy vibed house nestled on a quiet street. My only complaint is the internet was not working. We were unable to use the TVs and our WiFi devices which is not normally a huge deal, but I also work from my devices remotely so it was frustrating. I sent a message to the host the first day and never got a response. I will also consider it was a holiday weekend so maybe that contributed to the lack of communication. Besides that, this rental is absolutely perfect and I would definitely book again!

Beach Cottage

Initial impressions was disappointment in the neighborhood. Three foot deep weeds on adjacent lot. Multiple abandoned properties in disrepair. Cottage was in good repair, appeared to have been recently painted. On arrival the air conditioner was not working. Initially difficult to obtain help. Kept getting an answering machine. However once I spoke with the owner?, help was dispatched and arrived within 30 minutes. Apparently this is a chronic problem as he knew exactly how to correct the problem and we had cool air immediately.One major concern: the secondary exit was locked with the door knob removed, so only exit was the front door. With the bedrooms in the back, exit in case of fire was limited.
