Rude Staff- Just stay in Durango

While I appreciate that the hotel is under renovation and that there are signs about noise/ongoing construction materials, at no point did any signage or information on the website indicate that items would be missing from the room and that you would need to hunt down items to bring your room into service. I did check in late, 11pm, and when I arrived, it went up to the room and immediately called down because I thought they had put me into a none serviced room- the towels were missing, the bed was not made, and the paint and materials were everywhere. After arguing for 10 minutes they realized I was in the wrong room. Second room was missing the paint cans, but still missing towels, soap, etc. I was able to get those from the desk and asked about getting a desk chair for my room so I could work from my room in the morning. I explained that I had an early meeting in Dolores 6am, and would need one when I got back. When I left that morning, I asked again about the chair and was told they would locate one and get it to my room. When I returned around 8:30 there still no chair in my room. I went down to the desk to ask about it and was very rudely informed by new staff that there were no desk chairs for any of the rooms. They kept pointing to a sign that said they were under construction and said they didn't know what to tell me about the wrong room/condition of the room. I just left and called to my next hotel in Durango who was happy to get me in early.

Great spot to stay

Easy check in with a very helpful gentleman. The hotel is being remodeled so there was a little noise in the afternoon but nothing bad. VERY clean!

Heavily under construction Our room was done and fine but the common areas carpet and elevator …. Pretty icky. Acoustics need work. We heard every conversion alarm and radio around us.

The gentleman who checked us in ( Ron ) I think was very polite the lady who checked us out was a bit rude. I called front desk at 6 to ask about jacuzzi and person who answer had no customer service manners.

Close to Mesa Verde and on our way to NM. Bring your own food as dinner in town is so-so. The Chile Verde is great at the breakfast at the Hampton.
