Overall, I would give the Ute Mountain Casino Hotel a four-star (good) rating. We felt safe on the property. The hotel and our individual rooms were clean. The staff, especially the housekeepers, were very friendly. On a negative note - I would not recommend the restaurant, Kuchu's. We ate there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner brunch and did not find the food to be very good. I would give the restaurant a three-star (average) rating. In regard to the casino, the gaming machines seemed to be tight, especially since we do good at similar Colorado casinos playing the same machines.

Kicked out of a paid for room.

We paid for 2 days and got kicked out after 1 day. Front desk could not help us and our room keys just stopped working. The maid walked into the bathroom of the room while my wife was in it. I would like my money back but I don't have time to fight the system , even though it was their mistake.

Clean but Terrible Buffet

The room was clean. The buffet was terrible. After a long day of driving, we had dinner about 7pm. It was picked over and not refreshed, and the food had been sitting a long time. The cookies were good. I had cookies for dinner. Also, be sure to do your homework about beverages. No alcohol. Not a big deal, but if you’re expecting a drink with your terrible buffet, this ain’t it.

Keep driving

Right when you walk in there is an odor. There really isn't anything near this hotel so bring any food with you as the cafe has limited options and is worse than gas station food. Just before midnight, the fire alarm went off so needless to say, I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you truly need to like we did. More hotel options in Cortez about 20 minutes North.

We have been traveling for over a week and stayed in a different hotel every night. I have to say that the bed has been the most comfortable one so far. The room was very clean. It did need some kinda of fresher in the room. It had an odor maybe coming from the carpet or curtains but other than that the stay was great and we would stay there again if in the area.

Ute Mountain casino hotel is a great hotel, clean and great beds, gorgeous shower & a nice balcony to sit on and watch the sunset.

We traveled 9 hours to get to the hotel & couldn’t wait to utilize the hot tub. We arrived after Family Time (9:00 pm) was supposed to be over. The hot tub was filled with very young children who were unsupervised. Adult time was 9pm. We waited until almost 10:00 pm & asked the front desk about the rules. Clerk was rude & we felt very discriminated against. Needless to say, we won’t ever return. Plus, slots were so tight. We lost about $400 in a short time. Not worth the drive.
