Country View Lodging In the heart of Amish Country

Welcome to our lodge. We invite you to come and enjoy our vacation rental. Our goal is to create a place where you can relax and be refreshed. You will find yourself out in the middle of Amish Country, where the horses in the pasture are happy to great you. Enjoy our wicker venue on the front porch, watch the horse and buggies go by. Our spacious area was the business of Country View Wicker for 22 yrs. We are sisters and grew up on the farm down the road.
The space
You will find our place handicap accessible for anyone with disabilities. The one bedroom has a queen with master bath. Second bedroom has a king with daybed and pullout twin pop up trundle. The main bathroom has the shower and toilet with handicap bars. There is a sofa bed in the main area that has an electric pump for the mattress. Stocked kitchen with a dining table that extends. Washer and dryer for you to use.
Other things to note
Enjoy the many things in the area to do. Charm is only 4 miles where Charm Pizza is a great place to eat or order delivery. Charm is also the home of Keim Home Center. Baltic, Sugarcreek, Walnut Creek and Berlin are less the 25 minutes with lots of shopping and dining options.

Peaceful Setting

The house was beautiful, roomy and tastefully decorated. There was plenty of room for all of us to sit together but still enough room for a toddler to have a lot of room to play. There is not cable TV but plenty of DVDs for you to watch. The most impressive part was how clean the whole house was- spotless! This is a great family vacation spot!

Our stay was wonderful. The pictures and descriptions were well stated but when we walked in the door of the cottage we were stunned. It was so clean, roomy, welcoming and EXACTLY what we needed. Our stay was amazing and the location was perfect. So quiet that we could enjoy the singing birds and also the quiet clipping of passing buggiest or bicycles. We enjoyed The Farm at Walnut Creek and also the Harshberg Farm. We were remote but not too far of a drive to go shopping, events or places to eat. Small shops were close by for emergencies too. We ended up needing liquid Tylenol and a child’s thermometer and found shops close that had them. Everyone is so friendly and I found myself forced to slow down. This was exactly what I needed. We plan to come back and to do so often. Verna and Etta were so kind, friendly and helpful. I feel like I made two new friends and I hope to come again this year. Additionally I plan on telling my friends , family and acquaintances all about this property!!

A wonderful vacation in Amish country!

Looking for a relaxing get away, Country View Lodging is a great place to stay. We visited The Farm, Miller's Bakery, Dutch Valley Restaurant, and several smaller shops. We even sat on the porch in the evening and enjoyed the view!

Perfect!

This beautiful, well laid out large space was perfect for our 2 families. Thoughtful touches and an appropriately stocked kitchen made it feel like home. Surrounded by quiet, peaceful countryside, the front porch begs to you come and sit. It is well located, with most things only being 15-20 minutes away or less. Definitely will return! 10/10

sisters road trip

I have stayed here before and was so pleased decided to bring my sister for a few days. We both enjoyed our time here the view is so beautiful. The weather was nice we were able to enjoy the porch and watch the farmers ready the fields for planting. We hope to stay again.

I enjoyed my stay. It was roomy and quiet. . .peaceful. The firmness of the bed was harder than I like and I thought the kitchen could have had a few more helpful items as I was staying in all three days, not leaving the hiuse.

What a wonderful experience from the time we arrived until we left. What a beautiful home and neither! We both have stayed at other homes but have never stayed at one that was so clean! Wandering Widows

We are four widows who love to travel. The stay was absolutely wonderful! As we walked into the home, it was warm and inviting. The Christmas tree and mantle lights were on🎄We went to a play at the Ohio Star Theatre, It’s A Wonderful World, played cards, shopped and had some great Amish food. Our hosts were very hospitable, we would definitely stay again!

Peaceful Getaway

We have stayed many places in Holmes County. This was simply the best. We had visited this home many times when it was a wicker store. It was neat to see how they converted it. I could go on and on about how nice it is but I won't. If you are thinking about staying here just do it. I can't wait to go back.

Beautiful Country Setting

This house is well decorated, has charm, and is spacious. My wife and I and another couple enjoyed the comfort and especially the beautiful vista looking across the street. With the autumn leaves showing their colors, the view was so nice. For those staying when it’s a bit warmer, the covered front porch is so inviting with a porch swing, various sitting areas and nicely decorated. Also, it’s nice to be in the country away from the crowds and even enjoy watching many horses and buggies go by on occasion. We would most definitely stay again and we highly recommend. Thank you to the owners for such a lovely stay!

This definitely is a home away from home. The property owners are delightful! The home is updated and fresh!! Beautiful decor! The bedrooms are separated which is nice. Furniture is so nice and spaced out and roomy! The front porch is lovely. We enjoyed sitting outside listening to the horse and buggies go by. The view out front is spectacular. Lots of plug-ins and even phone chargers. If you are coming to watch TV, you will not find that (which we knew prior to going)--it was actually nice!! This will become our annual place to stay if available--and we would be willing to switch up dates just to stay. :) Thank you, Verna and Esta!
