Summary:

Cute and comfortable 2 bedroom condo at the Ponderosa Condo's.  Hot tub and easy walk to the slopes. Parking for 2 vehicles.



The Space:

This is a beautifully renovated condo in the well-maintained Ponderosa condos that is just a short walk to the base area of Mt. Crested Butte. Enjoy the world famous steeps in the winter and enjoy the most amazing single track in Colorado as you explore in the summer around the Crested Butte area.



Your whole group will enjoy the open concept living space in this nicely outfitted condo. The living room has a full size sleeper sofa, electric fireplace, TV and plenty of room to spread out. The dining area seats 6 people with extra seating at the bar top in the kitchen that seats 4 more individuals. The renovated, galley style kitchen is well equipped with anything you might need.

The condo sleeps 6 people comfortably with a king bed in the master bedroom, and an ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom has a twin bunkbed with a separate queen sized bed in the room. There is also a full bathroom for the guests in this room just off the hallway. The condo also has a lovely deck to enjoy late afternoon sunsets.



After a long day of recreating in the mountains, enjoy a good soak in the community hot tub with some of the best views of the valley.  There is a communal grill by the hot tub that is available in the summer/fall only. Come and enjoy this warm and comfortable condo and see what Crested Butte has to offer!



No trailers or RV's are allowed at this property due to town regulations and/or HOA covenants.  2 parking spaces are available for this condo. There is NO garage with this property!



Please note that the hot tub is open seasonally.  It is open from opening day to closing day of the ski season and will reopen mid-June and close after Labor Day.



All of our kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans, cookware and utensils. While most properties have salt, pepper, and basic cooking pantry items, we do not guarantee these will be available upon arrival.



The minimum age for all persons in this property is 25 years, except children (of all ages) traveling with their parent or legal guardian.

Please note that we do count all children and infants in the headcount for the property.

HOA Parking Plan

Each unit at Ponderosa Condominiums is issued two (2) official Ponderosa Condominiums parking permits.  All vehicles on the premises must display an official Ponderosa parking permit.  The fee for replacement of a lost parking permit is $25.

No more than two vehicles shall be kept, maintained or allowed on the property of Ponderosa Condominiums for each condominium unit.

Parking is permitted in designated areas only. This unit does not have a garage.

No motor homes, buses, or trailers are allowed at any location on the property.  No vehicle shall remain parked upon the property unless it is in good working condition and used for actual transportation.  Exterior parking is only for temporary parking of vehicles being used on a continuous basis and not for long-term parking or storage.  Vehicles in violation of these rules may be removed at owner's expense.

On-street/Town right-of-way parking is NOT allowed in the Town of Mt. Crested Butte.

The Neighborhood:

Easy walk to the base area. Across the street from the condo is the main skier parking lot.



Getting Around:

You can walk to the base area and hop on the free shuttle service that we have and go down to the town of Crested Butte.

Excellent location to the mountains

Wonderful stay with family if 5 plus brother. Excellent size accommodations within .3 miles of red lady express lift. We walked there every morning to begin our day skiing. Great place - would definitely stay again!

Nice property and great location!

Good location near the ski resort base. The unit was clean and comfortable and the host was very responsive to questions and requests. The description of the unit, amenities, location, etc. was consistent with our experience. I would highly recommend this unit to other travelers.

Convenient location

Condo was very convenient for skiing. Clean and had everything we needed. Only downside is it’s right next to building entrance and was very loud when residents in ski boots going in and out. Quieted down at night so not a deal breaker.

Great Family Getaway

Let me first say the property manager was very responsive to all my questions and switching around of dates. The property was great for my family of four. It had a spacious den and dining area. It was larger than most condos in this price range. The location was great with just about a 5 minute walk to the base of the mountain. So close we walked it in our ski boots.

Property was great. Very comfortable for 2 couples to stay. Having plastic wrap, foil and salt and pepper in kitchen would be nice. We could not get the cable to work in living room but not a big deal. Would stay again.

Great location and well stocked.

We enjoyed our recent stay at Ponderosa 3B. It is a short walk to the slopes, so it is easy to get going in the mornings. The kitchen was well-stocked and we had everything we needed for a great ski trip. We had a family emergency before arriving that affected our arrival, etc. Shay was excellent to work with and accommodated our needs as best as she could.

I bought the trip insurance and had a legitimate claim for trip interruption. I had a ski accident and had to leave early to get home and see my orthopedist. When I tried to file the claim on line (the only way as the company did not have a help line. This insurance company was not VRBO but the association is there. The form for claim had a final step where one had to fill out and answer 6 question. Only 1 of those pertained to my situation. I gave up after several attempts. Just a total waste of money.

Spacious but needs improvement.

Overall a decent place to stay. Pros: spacious for a family of 5, nice views of the mountains, great hot tub, and a convenient place for our bikes. Cons: not the cleanest place and a lot of things in the condo need to be replaced and fixed. There is serious mold in the master shower. The carpet throughout is disgusting. We spilled ice when we got there and when I wiped it up, the paper towel was brown. Disgusting. I called the management who said that we checked in early and that's why it was dirty. That is total bs because the condo was ready! The cleaner had already been there but clearly didn't do a good job. We left and when we returned, there was a dirty dishcloth added to the laundry pile. Not only did she use a "dish" cloth to wipe the floor but left it for me to wash. There were other parts of the condo that were disgusting that we discovered only because we were looking for a remote control. The dishcloths and dishtowels are stained and gross looking. The sheets on the master bed are pilling and rough. These are cheap and simple fixes. The washer/dryer unit should be replaced. It is very old and inefficient. Plan on waiting at least 1.5 hours to dry anything on the hottest setting.

Incredible and scenic!

The property was fantastic and clean! There was plenty of room and being on the ground floor was a HUGE plus because we didn't have to "do the stairs" every time we came and went. The furniture was all super comfy and the mattresses were some type of memory foam that made sleeping a "dream". The scenery from the deck was like a post card and the hot tub was like a cherry on the cake! We absolutely loved our stay and loved the way the owner checked in to make sure everything was going well! We will definitely be back ~ we loved this place!

This condo feels like our home away from home. It's our 6th or 7th time staying there and we love everything about it. The location is perfect. The decor is cozy as well as the beds. We have everything we need for a comfortable and relaxing vacation.

Great condo

Great place to stay for a family of 4. We like the location just a short walk to the base of the mountain. Easy access to shuttle to town. More peaceful than staying in town and cooler in the summer than in town. This is our second time staying here. Spacious living area. Bathrooms are updated and nice. Small washer and dryer are helpful.
