I enjoyed my stay and the property and staff are great. It’s a bit noisy due to the high school behind starting band practice at 0700 each morning. And I was surprised that I could clearly hear my neighbors on both sides.

Checked in put my things away and left to go out for dinner when we came back the floor in the living area was saturated from the air conditioning leaking. Called the front desk and was accommodated immediately and was put in another room on a different floor but it was still the same size that I had before. So kudos to the young man that was at the check-in desk who was so helpful and got us all taken care of.

Nice place, new and comfortable. Visiting for an anniversary weekend. Great breakfast. One message to Townplace: almost the first thing out of the desk clerks mouth was there will be an incidental $20 charge (just in case you damage something). I asked if the charge could be waved. He said no, he does it for all customers. Here’s my translation: We, the Marriott hotel, just don’t trust you. Here’s my tips: 1. Stop doing this annoying practice. 2. If a paying customer asks for a such a fee to be waived, it means you should do it, because they would not have asked if it wasn’t important. The manager wrote back: Dear Breck, Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey. We truly value your feedback and are glad to hear that you had an overall positive stay with us. I wanted to address your concern regarding the incidental authorization. As part of Marriott’s policy, we are required to authorize the guest’s card for the room, tax, and incidentals. I apologize if there was any miscommunication about this process. Please rest assured that incidental authorizations are not actual charges but temporary holds that are fully refundable, provided there are no purchases from the market or damages to the room. Typically, these authorizations cover any market purchases, as property damage is quite rare. We appreciate your feedback and will use it as a valuable opportunity to improve our communication and customer service. Thank you again for your time, and we look

The grey haired gentleman who checked us out was so helpful and friendly. He is also a teacher and we had an enjoyable discussion. He explained the steps to help me get the points for the stay added to my account. I stay in Rockwall often and I will be back.

Kitchen was great! The bed was comfortable and amenities were clean (gym, pool). Free daily coffee is very nice along with all the creamer options and cup holders. There were sugar packet varieties and free lemon water in the lobby! I would come back and stay here no questions! Only thing would be that there is only one charger working out of two. We picked this hotel for our electric vehicle and only charged once since a Siemens work truck was there all night most nights. It’s free so perhaps that work truck knows there is no code or hotel access needed and uses the free charger box there. That’s my only advice is to for front desk to check on it! Two is better than one charging station! Everything else is amazing and front desk staff are always helpful and nice!
