House was nice and well stocked but the management company was terrible. Not a single battery in the house⊠you need those for TV remotes⊠asked the management company and got no response. Then the AC quit working. Left multiple messages and they never showed. Turned the keys back in at the office and told them in person of the problems and the lady looked at me like I had 12 heads and said bye. No attempt at an apology, how can I help, nothing⊠just byeâŠ
We loved the location of the house, right on the beach with unobstructed views of the Gulf. The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed and clean with more than enough pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. The sliding door leading from the main living area to the deck did not work, we had to literally lift it off the track to move it. We contacted the management company but the part never arrived during our stay so we had to use the main entrance door or go through the master bedroom every time we entered or exited the house. My husband and I both encountered food injuries because of the rough deck wood and protruding nails. I ended up in urgent care to have a 1/4-inch-long splinter removed from my foot that was deeply embedded. I highly recommend NOT walking around with bare feet on the deck or stairs as they are rough. We ended up taking a hammer and pounding down nails just to avoid injury (my husband cut his heel on a protruding nail). We also had a kitchen cabinet door partially fall off when the hinge broke. While the maintenance person came and checked both the sliding door and the cabinet door, they were never repaired while we were there. He was waiting on parts. The ice maker in the freezer does not work either. You have to use ice trays or buy bags if you have a large group of people. Overall, we loved the location, but some things need TLC to make it better.
