The Willows
The Willows is a spacious, comfortable, three bedroom ‘upside down’ converted coach house, set within the peaceful, secluded residential grounds of Holcombe Hall, on the cliff above Holcombe beach, between Dawlish and Teignmouth – a relaxing getaway and centre for discovering the many attractions of South Devon.
This family home, in its unique setting, has a large, open plan sitting/dining room on the upper floor, connected to a well-appointed modern kitchen, and cloakroom with wc, and direct access to The Willows’ two lovely, decked sun terraces.
On the ground floor, there is a large master en suite bedroom with luxurious super king bed, a large double room with king sized bed, a cozy twin room, perfect for children, featuring two small single beds, and the family bathroom, meaning the property can comfortably accommodate up to six guests.
Wander down the estate’s private path to its communal clifftop garden, taking in the breath-taking view across the South Devon coastline, or make your way down to Smuggler’s Lane and Holcombe beach itself, which is 5 minutes’ walk from The Willows’ front door.
The house is also very close to the South West Coastal path, and is an ideal centre for both walking holidays and family seaside adventures. You can walk to Teignmouth and Dawlish in forty minutes and return by regular bus route after relaxing in their many local cafes! The village of Holcombe itself has the Crown Inn, Smugglers Inn, and the Salty Dog Kiosk café is at the bottom of the garden near the beach (March to November).
The Willows is 5 minutes’ drive from both Teignmouth and Dawlish, with their beaches, water sports, local shops, a range of supermarkets, cafes, museum, theatres and unique seaside atmosphere. Shaldon, with its zoo, cafes, botanical gardens and Ness Cove, is less than 15 minute’s drive away, or a short hop across the Teign Estuary from Teignmouth Back Beach on Britain’s oldest passenger ferry.
The culture and history of Exeter, attractions and seaside splendour of Torbay, arts and crafts of Totnes, and the majesty of Haytor on Dartmoor are all 30-40 minutes away by car, and there are excellent bus and train connections close to the house.
There is secure parking for one car allocated to The Willows on the Estate, and further parking on the private road of Holcombe Drive.
Whether it’s a short break or a family holiday, there is something for everyone at The Willows, from the local beach to the regional attractions - the perfect place for a break away in this wonderful location.

Great fun for the kids!
We have had a great eleven days at “The Willows”. Grandparents from Australia and family from England. The house has been great for three generations. And of course the beaches were great fun for the kids…lots of sandcastles. Many thanks.

The location was beautiful!
The location was beautiful! Perfect distance to walk to teignmouth-a little trickier to Dawlish. The house was fabulous, comfortable and had everything you could possibly need from a home. Lots of clear instructions and information about local amenities, attractions etc. A lovely, generous welcome gift on arrival and friendly neighbours. A wonderful spot for a family holiday (all adults) and would definitely stay again.

Relaxing!
A really relaxing holiday, just what we needed. We love your beautiful home, lovely to be amongst such lovely furniture, paintings and great books! We’ve enjoyed mornings on the deck reading and drinking coffee, walks along the costal paths and down to the beach, pottering around Teignmouth, Shaldon, and daily swims from the stunning Dawlish Warren. Real comfort and relaxation, thank you so much.

Amazing house and location
Amazing house and location. Couldn’t have asked for more. So lucky with the weather too. Got the bus to Teignmouth. Easier than taking the car. Lovely having the beach so near. A nice walk away. And lovely food at the Castle, celebrating my birthday.

Everything we needed for a lovely stay.
The accommodation is attractive, comfortable and very well equipped. The owners have thought of everything you might need and then added more!
Located halfway between Dawlish and Teignmouth it is well placed for essential shopping, local public transport and main roads to tourist hotspots. However it is also quiet and secluded should you need a peaceful spot. The ‘secret path’ down to the beach is steep but useful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
The outdoor seating areas are lovely but would have benefited from a clean prior to our arrival.
