Room was ok but A/C was set at 69. Had to turn up heat to get it warm in there. You could look outside thru the wall beside the A/C unit. Bed had sleeping holes in it. 500 pounders must have sleep there. Had to be a mountain climber to get out of the bed. Room had kitchen but no dishes or pots or pans. They charged us $100 more for the second night. Was not the charge that was quoted when I made reservations. Will not be using Best Western again. And we were rewards members. - Were, not anymore.

I know the hotel allows pets, however, I would have hoped it would have been confined to certain rooms and those rooms would not be rented to people without pets. I was shocked when our room smelled like wet dog. I purchased Febreeze and used almost a whole can to be able to be in the room. I have an extreme allergy to cats and would have had medical issues had there been cat dander in the room. The couch in 404 is so old that you could feel the frame through the cushions. While the website didn't say the kitchen was stocked, it would have been nice if the website explained that. We found out after 2 days that there were paper products, etc available at the desk.

Great location, great front desk staff. Musty, moldy-smelling room. Lots of clientele noise, arguing in lobby. Really disappointing. Star rating is way off on this property.

My sister and bother and I have been coming to this property annually for more than 20 years. We lost our brother sadly, in 2020. Other than the Covid years, my sister and I have continuously returned as we have had wonderful experiences and memories in New Smyrna. Im sad to say that we were very disappointed in the new ridiculous parking fees and we entered our room and were shocked to find our cabinets were bare. No dishes or silverware to be found. We are in a room with a full refrigerator, sink and microwave. We thought this must be a mistake, only to be told we can come down and pick up cheap paper plates, bowls and plastic silverware in the lobby. We understand the costs are increasing everywhere, including at the BW, but the drastic decrease in your amenities at these high prices have caused us to determine this will be our last stay at your property, unless we hear these issues have been rectified and goes back to the wonderful hotel we have come to know and loved.

The location being on the ocean was a big plus. The staff was nice and professional. There was 1 elevator not working during our stay. I wish there was an option for an umbrella for the beach. Biggest issue were roaches in the room.

Dogs barking at 10:30 p.m. in hallway. Kids running and screaming in hallway at 11:00 p.m.. Pool was crowded with families who were not staying at the hotel. Balcony door would not lock and plumbing sounded like a freight train when you turned in on. We also had to pay $23.00 a day to park at the hotel. We will not come back. They want you to pay top dollar for bottom of the line amenities.
