Fun place to stay!

Very fun place to stay for couples & families. Affordable food in the hotel & lots of things to do. Great pool that’s open late with a poolside bar & lazy river. Walking distance to Volcano Bay, as well, so it’s great for water lovers! Beds were comfy. Only problem was no microwave in the room we stayed in. You can take the busses to the Universal parks & visit the other resorts while staying here! Will stay here again!

I was placed in a farther building

We were a later check-in, however we still checked in before 11 p.m. so no calling required. Still I called them early in the day and let them know that we were going to be at a theme park the whole day and could not check in during the day. They said nothing would be affected and our room would be kept for us. We were given a room in one of the two "towers", not connected to the main buildings. Very confusing with the parking situation being a different lot. It was a looooong walk to and from the lobby/reception/cafeteria area. I'm a mom with 13 year old daughter and this was very difficult. Our room had no bathtub (just a walk-in shower). When I brought it up they first wondered if I had asked for the towers and I said no. Then they said it must be because we checked in later in the day, although they had promised our room would be saved. I'm also wondering if these are accessible rooms why are they so far from the main building? I had to go to the desk the second day and they waived the very very expensive parking fee, so that was something.

This is a beautiful resort to stay at for Universal Studios. They offer a shuttle to and from the parks. Staff offer superior customer service. They are friendly as well. There is a very lovely Universal Store located right at the resort. The Bayliner Diner offers a wide variety of delicious food. We did have a few issues, however, one of which was promptly addressed. In our room, on the wall where the headboards were, the power was out. Nothing worked, not the phone, not the alarm clock, and certainly not the outlets. We could not charge our phones next to the bed. I told the front desk, but the issue was never resolved. We also had to make a noise complaint after our second night of loud noise coming from the adjoining room. That issue was resolved quickly by hotel staff and security. We also received an extended checkout for our inconvenience. Lastly, we requested a microwave, and were told that is reserved for those people with suites. Overall, we may look at other resort options for our next stay.

There was no Wi-Fi, there were bugs in my room and talking to other neighbors of mine. They had the same exact issues. I really dislike the fact that I had to spend a total of about 4 to 5 hours of my vacation time to complain. I'm still blown away that I had to file a security report due to bug bites.
