Big Let Down- Barely Habitable
After booking the unit the owner connected with us and said we would need to coordinate to meet so he can check us in.Arrived in Daytona and set meeting and asked if we could just get a code and he told us we needed to get the key and the parking pass.When we arrive at the unit he informed me that I missed the detail about having to give him a 175.00 cash deposit, 150 for the room and the 25 for the parking pass.Gave him the cash and agreed to meet to check out and get the cash deposit back when we are ready to check out.We slept there 2 nights and met him at the agreed upon time and checked out and he did return my cash deposit.The balcony was wedge shaped and tapered from 34” wide at the big end to 0” at the small end and was maybe 8’ wide. 2 people can stand only, 1 can sit in a chair if you close the door and then open the chair to sit in it. There is not room for 2 people to sit on the balcony.There was almost zero water pressure in the bath sink and kitchen sink, the shower had some water but there was some kind of clear thin plastic shower liner that was gross.The water flow in the bath sink was less than a 1/4” diameter stream.The linens did not smell fresh at all and we decided not to get under the sheets based on overall cleanliness.We both slept in clothes and were not comfortable walking barefoot on the floors.The kitchen had an odd sized coffee pot but no filters or coffee.There were no paper towels, only 3 marginally clean dish rags.Boo
