At check-in, the bellboy stood waiting for a tip in a way that felt almost defiant. I had no issue tipping, and of course I did, but I was also struck by how openly another staff member complained about low wages and expected money, even in front of a supervisor who seemed to accept it as normal. It would be so much better if tipping could remain a gesture of appreciation, something dignifying for everyone, rather than a necessity born from difficult working conditions. Bad vibe in general. The stretch of street you might walk along to reach the livelier intersection leading to Connaught Place can feel a bit out of place, with homeless people and stray dogs around. It was uncomfortable at times, but I never felt threatened.

This room was booked on Hotels.com to be two beds. As we arrived we were given a room with only one bed. Later, we inquired at the front desk on the phone and were informed there were no other rooms available. However, inquiring at the front desk, we found there was another room with two beds. The Hotels.com reservation for two beds did not carry over to the property
