Summary:
The Mile High Escape in Curtis Park is the ideal getaway for travelers looking to escape in style. A lot of thought and care has been invested in creating this serene atmosphere. The windows inside of home allows it to fill with an abundance of natural light, which is convenient for all guests since Denver receives 300 days of sunshine a year.

The Space:
Inside of the home, guests will find two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first bedroom is located on the lower level, while the second bedroom can be found on the upper level. The first bedroom features a queen sized bed and ample storage space. Guests will also find the kitchen, dining + living areas, first full bathroom and laundry room on the lower level. The living area features a comfortable couch that can be used as a sleeping arrangement. The master suite encompasses the upper level of the home, featuring a king bed and spacious layout.

The Neighborhood:
“RiNo,” the trendy River North Art District features contemporary art galleries and hip concert venues in revamped industrial buildings. Food halls include Denver Central Market, Improper City and The Source, a buzzy indoor venue with eclectic products and a bar for small plates and craft beer. Known for its colorful murals, Upper Larimer Street also has cocktail lounges, brewpubs with patios and late-night food trucks.

Getting Around:
For those without a car, I recommend utilizing Lyft or Uber. There are also a few community car share programs, such as Turo and Car2Go. Denver B-cycle, an automated bike sharing system, is also readily available on 33rd & Arapahoe Street. Access to Denver's extensive light rail system at 30th and Downing.

Very walkable summer stay
My wife and I had a brief trip to Denver and were looking for a place to work from home that was walkable to nearby restaurants and bars. The location worked great for us and fit our needs. The noise level was low which was great. We ended up sleeping in the downstairs bedroom vs the upper bedroom as it has no window treatments.

Really nice property on the inside - external locks were a bit troublesome and locking up the property while leaving meant that the back door wasn't able to be locked.

Great location
We had a great time staying here! The location was within walking distance of many restaurants and breweries. The house was stocked with everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. We had a bug issue we had to contact the property management company about and they were very quick to respond and send someone out. We would definitely stay here again.

So Disappointed
This property is not well maintained at all. The pictures in the ad are well staged but do not reflect what the property really is like. Most of the furniture is damaged as are the floors. There is dust everywhere especially the baseboards and air vents. The house was infested with moths that previous guests had clearly smashed on the walls but no one bothered to clean up the guts. The listing states the property is walking distance to restaurants, etc but you don’t want to walk anywhere because the neighborhood is sketchy and homeless people are all over. Multiple times we heard gunshots while on our stay. I alerted property management of us being concerned about the gunshots, but they did not address this concern. They did address the lack of wash cloths on the property by bringing me new wash cloths that I had to cut the tags off of and launder myself. Hands down the worst VRBO property I have ever stayed at.

Graduation Celebration
Beds slept very well; nice bathrooms and kitchen area. Lacked comfortable seating and dishes for our party of five; a few minor maintenance issues as well. Neighborhood convenient and walkable, but houses next door run down. Overall, we had a great time celebrating our grad and exploring Denver!

Just what we needed.
Two couples came to town for a Red Rocks show and few nights around town. The place is pretty much equidistant from DEN and Red Rocks via car (we used ride shares). There is not much RIGHT by the house but a 5-10 min walk will put you on a happening block. We picked to go to Barcelona Wine Bar and walked there our first nite. (A lovely place an definitely recommend!) A ~10 min car ride will get you to several more areas. Denver seems to have "pockets" like this and, depending on your length of stay, you'll want to check a few to several out. House is quite old and quaint but has been decently upgraded and remodeled. Nothing too fancy but very clean and sufficiently supplied. Pretty great bang for the buck. We hope to get back sometime in the future!

Great Location, Needs some attention
The location was great for access to food, drink and entertainment. Communication with the host was excellent and the home was clean. However, some attention to detail is needed. The yard was not maintained, the furniture in the living room was not comfortable and the dining area is quite small with poor seating options. Overall a good place to stay.
