This a very affordable and convenient location to the downtown Des Moines area. This may be one of only a few downtown hotels that has free parking--very easy to get in and out. All the staff were wonderful. I also really appreciated my cooler that I had left in the fridge was found and waiting for me--thank you so much

Breakfast was good. Staff was great. They are apparently going thru a renovation so it was a little messy. Updates are needed, its run down. Elevator had issues, shampoo & conditioner in shower dispenser empty, and overall not fresh. But we liked the location as we had an event at Caseys center. Once the renovation is finished it will be a great property

We should have spent $10 more and stayed at a much nicer hotel. We were on the 6th floor and the elevators kept getting stuck on the 5th floor so we ended up having to use the stairs. There was so much noise in the hotel. Baby crying, dog barking. Sounded like the people above us were playing with a bouncy ball all night. Qe could hear all of this over the TV and the air running. Rooms are super outdated. The bottom of the bathroom door looked like it had quite a bit of water damage. The breakfast wasn't what I expected from staying at other Comfort Inn's. The only meat option they had was sliced ham. Overall, I wish we had stayed somewhere else for how much we payed.

The carpet in the hallways was absolutely gross and whole place smells awful. It’s way past overdue for renovation. Also, one of the front desk staff was rather surly. The room itself was ok and the breakfast was decent. No water refilling options and pool is closed.

The front desk night staff was very nice, but that is were it ended. They put us on the 5th floor that was completely under construction and filthy. There are 8 floors and hardly any cars in the parking lot. They said there were no handicap rooms available so my husband with a disability could hardly get in thru the bathroom door and definitely could not fit his wheeled walker thru the doorway. There was old hair in the sink, the phone was disgusting and had not been cleaned in a very long time. The bed sheets had stains on them and everything overall was old, dingy, and dirty. We will not be staying there again and won't recommend. Definitely not worth the money!!!

Overall good experience with 2 kids. Room smelled musty at first, smell eased once the air conditioner was turned on. Very convenient location for the Casey's Center, walkable restaurants, recreation area (skate park, trail, etc) within a block.
