First, the place smelled great, everywhere. Second, the room was clean, in great condition, and comfortable. Finally, the furniture and fixtures were in great condition, there were no annoying noises, and the internet worked fine. I would recommend this place and stay again the next time I need it.

My wife and I stay at this location whenever we are overnight in Des Moines. We have probably stayed her 30 to 40 times over the last few years. The staff has always been great to work with, the rooms are in great condition, the location is very close to shopping and restaurants. We've never had an issue with parking or other customers that are loud and partying. We like the one bedroom suite because my wife goes to bed early and I usually stay up late working. There is great work space in the rooms- another reason I like this location. We can usually get late checkouts too so I can work 8:00 am to 12:00 pm which works well for me. The surrounding area is office and hotels in a nice area of West Des Moines and we have always felt safe. Even walking out to our car at night. Often this hotel hosts traveling work crews. Men who work as electricians, construction, etc. Never any problem with them. This place is always reasonably priced. It's just a great location in my opinion.

Very dated. The smell was terrible. The elevator smelled of cigar smoke. The rooms smelled like air freshener to cover up something. Way too strong. No ice machine. The only bright spot was the lovely young woman who checked me in.

Clean quiet rooms with a lot of space. The hotel offers a lot of wonderful cooking utensils to borrow free of charge! Everything worked well in the room. There are also 2 grills available for cooking food outside in a gazebo. Loved that! The staff was very accommodating and easy to work with! The exercise room had broken equipment so we didn’t use it much. Many people in the hotel smoke one thing or another inside their rooms and it’s STRONG! The bathroom in our room had mold growing in it and much of the popcorn ceiling was falling off.
