We stayed in the penthouse unit of this building for three nights, and unfortunately, the experience was far from relaxing. The unit itself was decently furnished and had a nice layout, but everything elseâfrom the building to the managementâwas a major letdown.Elevator Nightmare The penthouse is on the 11th floor, and the elevator broke down every single day of our stay except the last. We had to climb 11 flights of stairs multiple times a day, which was exhausting and unacceptable for a vacation rental. The host, Jesse, said there was nothing they could do, which felt dismissive. To make matters worse, residents were so fed up they left a note in the lobby urging everyone to call the landlord and sue.Fly Infestation On the second day, we discovered a fly infestation in the second bedroom. It was bad enough that we had to close off the room for the rest of our stay. Jesse was again unable to resolve the issue, leaving us short a bedroom in a unit we paid full price for.Noisy AC The AC unit in the primary bedroom was extremely loud and clearly in need of maintenance. It made sleeping difficult, especially after climbing all those stairs.Building Conditions The building itself is run down. The hallways were littered with trash and stained carpets, which made coming and going feel grimy and unpleasant.The Good The interior of the unit was the only redeeming featureâclean, modern, and spacious. But that alone doesnât make up for the rest.
