We appreciate the dinner recommendation when we checked in. The staff was very friendly. We stayed midweek and always had the nice pool and hot tub to ourselves during our stay. We enjoyed the outdoor firepit. The decor in our room was cute and we enjoyed the decor across the hotel.

I really enjoy staying at the Wildwood Lodge. Its decor is getting fatigued. Bathroom door had a hole on the inside. Likely from the shower curtain not reaching the shower stall on the bottom. Cracked tiles on the floor and the mirror was barely holding together. Everything was very clean!

Staff was nice and friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok. The bagel set up should be somewhere else. Everything is freezing cold by the time you get it from the vents and windows right there. But can’t complain. Will be back

We enjoyed our stay! Very quiet and nice. We enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit and meeting other guests at the hotel. The area around the hotel is very nice with a variety of different shops. We will stay there again when in the Des Moines area.

The hotel was built in the 1950's, and was recently remodeled. The lobby is very nicely decorated. There is a creek by the property. Breakfast was edible, not great. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were very dark, damp, and the only window didn't open. Towels never dried and sheets felt damp. Very poor lighting. No closets. Could hardly hear the TV with volume at maximum. Sheets were never changed the whole week we were there, but we did get fresh towels and garbage was collected from the rooms every other day as requested. Nice fire pits. Beautiful area. Close to everything but still quiet.
