Amazing location and excellent service

The unit is located on the best part of the most beautiful beach we have ever visited. The hosts were extremely nice and even invited for drinks and dinner one night. The unit is as described and very clean. The kitchen could need a bit of updating, but nothing that influences the overall great experience.

Excellent location and property

This was the final stop on our journey (and our most anticipated). We stayed in Deshaies to experience the “Death in Paradise” primary filming location. The property was a little haven to rest, have coffee in the AM and just chill from a busy day. It was very comfortable, great showers (inside and outside), awesome eating space outside and wonderful owners. We did not use them, but also has a small private pool and hot tub. Both looked nice. There is a private entrance to the beach and only minutes to walk there. This was very cool! The property was perfectly located to go in to town, the Botanical Gardens, the Zoo and to several beaches. We also walked to a little gas station for food/beer and a burger from Joe’s food truck. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend. It was a perfect end stay to our trip to Guadeloupe!

AprĂšs un petit quiproquo sur la rĂ©servation, Chantal nous a accueilli en nous rassurant et nous proposant un autre logement au mĂȘme endroit tout aussi bien. Logement propre Ă  proximitĂ© de la plage de la grande Anse et du sentier du littoral. Chantal et sa famille ont Ă©tĂ© prĂ©sents et Ă  notre Ă©coute toute la durĂ©e du sĂ©jour. Perfect location close to our favourite beach Grand Anse

We stayed in one of the newly built Gites with two rooms and a small kitchen. Perfect for a family of four. Great to have the small pool for the kids. The owners really took care of us, although we don't speak any French, and they very little English, so communication was a bit difficult at times. We were even invited to dinner one night with the family, so nice of them! We can highly recomend this place.

une magnifique rencontre

Nous avons passé 1 mois au Sable d'or, 1 mois qui a passé trop vite. Le gßte est accueillant et fonctionnel et vue sur la mer depuis la terrasse. Plage à 200m (sans sargasse),petits restaus à 500m et la station essence qui fait office de superette, de quoi rester 1 ou 2 jours à profiter du cadre sans prendre la voiture. Le jacuzzi (et bientÎt la piscine) est un plus.2 balades à pied à faire au départ du gßte, d'un cÎté rejoindre la magnifique plage de la Perle et de l'autre rejoindre le bourg de Deshaies par les mornes.Et, cerise sur le gùteau, l'accueil de Chantal et Laurent.Des personnes à la fois chaleureuses et discrÚtes, toujours disponibles si besoin d'un conseil, d'un service ou simplement pour échanger. Le repas d'accueil, convivial, permet de découvrir des plats locaux, préparés sur place, le planteur maison est pas mal non plus!!Chantal et Laurent ont le désir de nous faire partager l'amour de leur ßle et de nous offrir un séjour le plus agréable possible...Pour nous c'est réussi!! Un grand merci à Elodie pour sa gentillesse...on se revoit l'année prochaine

Cabin by the beach

We had a wonderful welcome and an excellent holiday in this beautifully situated 2-bed house. The beach was only a 3 minute walk at the bottom of the garden and Deshaies was a 5 minute drive if that. We were also close to the beach restaurants which we ate at a few times. There is plenty to do and see within close proximity of the cabin. We had rented a car so were off out and about most days with the afternoon/evening on the beach. There are also plenty of walking trails in close proximity. All in all we had a wonderful time and would recommend anyone who wants a local experinece to stay here.

Un petit coin de paradis au calme

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en mars 2018 dans le studio de Laurent et Chantal. La location est trÚs confortable, propre, clame, bien aménagée et équipée. La mer est à quelques pas derriÚre la location, par un petit chemin qui débouche sur la magnifique plage de Grande Anse. La terrasse couverte permet de profiter de l'extérieur quelque soit le temps et le jacuzzi est trÚs agréable aprÚs une journée de plage ou de rando. Enfin, un grand merci à Chantal et Laurent pour leur gentillesse et leur accueil, et pour le repas partagé. En espérant que nos chemins se croiseront de nouveau !

Super séjour

De trĂšs, trĂšs bonnes vacances chez Chantal et Laurent. Ce gite est sympathique, proche de la mer, au calme, et dispose de tout ce que l'on peut souhaiter pour passer de bonnes vacances. Nous sommes des "rĂ©guliers" du site homelidays et avons dĂ©jĂ  eu des accueil "touristiques". La diffĂ©rence ici; c'est l'accueil de Chantal et Laurent qui se plient en 4 pour nous faire dĂ©couvrir la vrai guadeloupe, celle qui n'est pas montrĂ© dans les hotels. Cela a Ă©tĂ© super de pouvoir parler avec eux de la vie en guadeloupe autour d'un poisson grillĂ©, de faire une petite de pĂȘche improvisĂ©e et de comprendre ce qui fait que cette ile est atype. Nos hĂŽtes ont Ă©tĂ© merveilleux de gentillesse et je souhaite, du fond du coeur les remercier.

Bien plus qu'une simple location !

DĂ©paysement, calme et confort, voilĂ  ce que nous avons trouvĂ© aux "Sables d'or." Chez Chantal et Laurent, c'est aussi une qualitĂ© d'accueil inĂ©galable ; gĂ©nĂ©rositĂ©, gentillesse convivialitĂ© voilĂ  qui dĂ©peint parfaitement ce charmant couple mais aussi leur famille qui nous ont accueillis comme Ă©tant des leurs. Ils nous ont offert des moments uniques de partage tel que ce mĂ©morable barbecue sur la plage Ă  l'occasion des 50 ans de Laurent. Au menu, chants traditionnels, danses endiablĂ©es, poissons grillĂ©s et autres succulents plats...... Loin des clichĂ©s et des codes touristiques, leurs prĂ©cieux conseils nous ont permis de dĂ©couvrir cette Ăźle magnifique "de l'intĂ©rieur". Disponibles, Ă  l'Ă©coute mais toujours discrets, ils ont eu Ă  coeur, tout au long de notre sĂ©jour, de nous "gĂąter" : accras, mangues fraichement cueillies du jardin..... Le bungalow dans lequel nous avons Ă©tĂ© accueillis est particuliĂšrement confortable et d'une propretĂ© irrĂ©prochable. L'intimitĂ© y est bien prĂ©servĂ©e. Le jacuzzi est un + et la douche extĂ©rieure bien pratique au retour de la plage. La plus belle plage de Guadeloupe est accessible au bout du jardin ! Avec son sable dorĂ© et ses cocotiers, cette immense plage est un vĂ©ritable havre de paix. Loin des affluences touristiques, elle a su garder son authenticitĂ©. Il y a mĂȘme de grands rouleaux pour s'amuser comme il se doit. PassionnĂ©s de pĂȘche, nous nous sommes rĂ©galĂ©s, la pĂȘche du bord y est miraculeuse ! Spectacle inoubliable, son coucher de soleil est Ă  ne pas manquer. En rĂ©sumĂ©, un petit bout de paradis ! Le paradis

Nous avons passĂ©, mon fils et moi, quinze jours exceptionnel chez Chantal et Paul, des hĂŽtes d'une haute bienveillance et d'une gentillesse remarquable ! Un apperetif ainsi que des victuailles soigneusement prĂ©parĂ©es Ă  notre intention nous attendaient des notre arrivĂ©e ! La plage est devant l'appartement trĂšs agrĂ©able et lumineux. Et rien de mieux qu'un jacuzzi apres la journĂ©e plage ! Je vais faire de cette adresse mon point de chute des que possible, c est un paradis rare au milieu d'une vĂ©gĂ©tation luxuriante oĂč mer des caraĂŻbes cĂŽtoie la mangrove Ă  100m du gĂźte que l'on dĂ©couvre en kayak ou paddle pedalos ! Nous avons passĂ© 4 nuits au Sable d'Or. La localisation est parfaite, plage accessible Ă  pied en moins de 2 min. Le bungalow est petit mais ici, on vit dehors ! La terrasse est trĂšs agrĂ©able, colorĂ©e et spacieuse. Le spa Ă©tait Ă  notre disposition sous un abri en bois colorĂ©. Mais le cĂŽtĂ© que nous avons le plus apprĂ©ciĂ©, c'est l'accueil de Chantal et Laurent, vraiment adorables. Nous avons partagĂ© un repas prĂ©parĂ© avec des produits locaux. Nous avons bĂ©nĂ©ficiĂ© de leurs conseils en matiĂšre de cuisine locale, d'endroits Ă  visiter, mais aussi sur la culture et l'histoire de la Guadeloupe. Belles vacances en bord de mer avec de trÚs belles propriétaires. We had 2 beautiful weeks on Guadeloupe . A week which we spent in the apartment of family Paul . The apartment is equipped with all necessary utensils for the holiday equipped and was perfect for us. Beau jardin avec lagon. Nice terrace and a stone's throw from the sea. Une destination idéale. La mer au fond du jardin avec un accÚs direct. Le confort de cette petite maison éclatante de couleurs. Le must c'est l'accueil et la convivialité de Chantal et Laurent, incomparable.
