DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU'D LIKE A PEACEFUL VACATION

When I booked the room for our family vacation, I did not see that the location was under construction. We stayed there the week after the 4th of July. One entire building is under heavy renovations. The building is completely gutted due to water damage and corrosion. Please see the pictures of corrosion on the building we stayed in. Construction starts anywhere from 7 to 8 in the morning. If you like to sleep in, like I do on my vacation, do NOT stay here. Loud heavy equipment, back up beeping, and loud generators run all day. To get away from the noise, the beach is your refuge. If you try and sit by the pool or you balcony, during the work day, the sound infiltrates your brain and thoughts. I texted the management company, Southern Vacation Rentals, and they pretty much told me tough luck, it was in the description. The construction is due to continue though 2025. Please be Aware!

Great place and location

Overall, it Was a great stay. The location is spectacular and despite the construction, it was a beautiful unit. A minor complaint, is that there was a used bar of soap on the floor of the entrance of the unit and the floor of the kitchen had a sticky substance all over it. We also had no water, because of the construction, for about two hours one morning. They did give us a $50 rebate for the water, but charged us $150 for a drawer that was already broken, but in their defense, I did not report it as soon as I realized it.
