Townhome condo located at SOUTHBAY BY THE GULF - Beachfront community in the heart of Destin.
My condo is #79. Gulf side of lake. -Short 3 minute (200 yard) walk to beach. 1 minute walk to pool.
-Umbrella/2-chair set-up on beach included (March 1-Oct 31 weather permitting).
-Individually owned/managed- deal with the owner, Patrick McCaghren, avoiding management company fees.
-Pool heated February 1 thru spring break (mid-April)
-14 acre private family oriented, beach front resort
-Located in gated, beach-side section of resort, south of private lake
-Close to restaurants, supermarkets, shopping, fishing out of Destin Harbor, numerous golf courses
-3 minute walk to private beach thru the property ... no crossing of streets to get there
Very peaceful and quiet - no Hwy 98 road noise
-Hi speed WIFI
-Two story townhome - drive up to front door - no high-rise elevator hassle!
-Living/dining/kitchen/half bath/laundry/patio on main level
-Large brick patio with charcoal grill and private back view
-Front and rear hoses for sand rinsing
-Living room with 57" ROKU streaming TV with soundbar
-Two twin-size sofas in Living room to sleep 7th and 8th guests (new 2025).
-Fully equipped Kitchen with refrigerator/icemaker. electric smooth-top range, Bosch dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, blender, standard drip coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, French press, coffee grinder, "Whirley Top" popcorn maker, griddle
-Master bedroom (queen size bed - with private bath on upper level
-2nd bedroom (queen size bed - with shared bath on upper level
-3rd bedroom (twin beds - with shared bath on upper level)
-ROKU streaming TVs in all bedrooms
-Owner's personal vacation home
-1,289 sf
-Five acre fresh-water lake on property (Stocked with bass and brim - catch and release fishing)
-Condo (#79) located between lake and beach
-Short walk to the private beach, pool and tennis courts
-Setup of one umbrella and two chairs included. (Additional beach chairs/umbrellas available for rent.)
-Pool is typically heated the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Also heated from February 1 thru Spring Break, around Mid-April.

HOUSE RULES
Everyone in your party should be over 25 or be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 25. This is a family oriented resort not appropriate for spring breakers.
-No pets, no smoking. Pet and smoke free.
-Check-in after 4 PM. Check-out before 10 AM.
NO TENTS ALLOWED ON THE BEACH AT SOUTHBAY

Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals including an air fryer! Interior matched photos and was very clean. Beds were comfortable. It was convenient to all shoppkng and restaurants and a very short walk to the beach thru the parking lot. Loved the chair options on the private beach!

Our stay was enjoyable. This was a girls' week trip. The condo was the perfect size and layout. The bedrooms upstairs allowed us to live "dorm style" and have chats each morning while getting ready for our adventures. the kitchen had everything we needed. The back patio was beautiful. Patrick did not exaggerate when he wrote that the pool is one minute away and the ocean is 3 minutes. The condo is central to every thing you could want to do. Weather was extremely hot so we spent more time in the condo than usual. The TV roku in each room was a wonderful addition!

This is yhe third year we have stayed at this condo and it never disappoints. The location is great and is a short 2-3 minute walk till you are on white beaches looking at the gulf and relaxing and the owner is great to reserve from and work with. We have never left without already talking about next year. Will continue to reserve this condo!!!

Beach was great! Location is perfect. Taylor, the beach attendance, very nice and accommodating. Owner, Patrick, very easy to work with, great communication. Condo is dated, but that was not reason for three star. We communicated some house cleaning issues, that i trust will be addressed.

This is our 2nd year staying at Southbay (south end). We love the location of Southbay as you have access to any and everything you want to see and do; restaurants, stores, attractions etc. Our host Patrick was wonderful! Our unit was perfectly equipped and clean. The beach and pool access are phenomenal!! We are already looking at booking our 2026 family vacation at Southbay!!!
