They tell you up front when considering apparently this vintage hotel is more like a house with boarding rooms if you look at the pictures it looks kind of different than what they tell you once you get there basically this will be a good fit for a loaner or elderly person that wants to be not around like a lot of people

Checked into the room and my girlfriend went to the bathroom, toilet did not work. We told the front desk immediately and they checked it out. Gave us a tea kettle and told us to fill up the toilet every time we needed to use it and flush. Did not offer us a different room or anything, just told us to deal with it. Very annoying to deal with and I should have been offered some sort of compensation for this as I paid a good amount for this room and the toilet doesn’t work? The property manager who came and checked out the toilet even said a plumber was there that very morning working on it and knew there was an issue with it, but they still put us in the room knowing there was an issue with the toilet. Talk about bad customer service….

The room was BEAUTIFUL, the parking was easy, the ladies that handled checkin/out were amazing and the location was exactly right to walk to the Detroit Opera house and Ford Field. Even the breakfast was well above average!

The staff was top notch…we had a few ‘special’ request and they accommodated every single one. Amanda, Denise and Danielle you are fabulous and true hospitality heroes. My mom had massage set up by the hotel and said it was fantastic! The room was big and spacious and the location is so convenient to Detroit events. I highly recommend this establishment.

The staff was great!! The room was very nice with lots of antique charm. Only downside was because of older home, older windows and location there was quite a bit of noise from outside and the windows were only covered with a laced material which allowed in light and I’m sure were see through at night with the room lights on.
