Outside enjoy a large covered front porch, back deck, and back patio, with garden surrounding. And a three car wide drive way to not block your group. Basement storage area is the only locked part of the house not available for guests I live nearby and am reachable by phone, text, or airbnb messages It is a quiet family neighborhood with tree loned streets and great access to parks, shops, and major freeways. If you have children be sure to check out the coolest newest playground in the area only a 5 minute walk away! (See photos!) Many choices to get around - walk to town, new bike lanes are also available. Driving to and from the neighborhood is very convenient with ramps to/from 696 less than one mile away. Also did you know Royal Oak has an Amtrack train station and bus hub? These are about a 20 minute walk from the house Great location for families! There are 5 playgrounds within a 10 minute walk. Lower level play room. Also 15 minute walk downtown for all the shopping and nightlife including Holiday market for groceries. And we also rent cars! Ask about a discount on car rental!

Great Location for Business Meeting or Stay

Our team is headquartered in Troy. Rather than hotel rooms, we wanted an experience that would allow team building, business meetings, and dinners catered in. This location was perfect. The bedroom and house is set up well for all of these functions. A great experience for the guests, team building opportunities to strengthen team as well as cost savings for the company. Lots of little things...

House was decent, but a lot of little issues stacked up during our stay. Lots of little things are missing, esp in the kitchen. We had to buy more silverware and plates, to accommodate our party of 10, ran out of dishwasher soap on the second day, several burners didn't work on the stove, etc. Also, no instructions on check-in or check-out--no wifi code given until requested, not sure if need to strip the beds on the way out, etc. Two of the bedrooms have very little heat and another two are very small, almost closet sized.

Girl's get together

Got together with a group of 10 friends. House was close to downtown Royal Oak in a nice neighborhood and an easy drive to downtown Detroit. If you are trying to experience Royal Oak/Detroit with a large group from a safe, central location this is a great option! There were plenty of sleeping arrangements for us to spread out comfortably. The family room/common area is not a big space for a large group, but we were out and about for the most part. If you are looking for an indoor space (we went during winter) to sprawl out together, get cozy and spend most of your time in the house with a big group, this might not be for you. There was ample porch and yard space so in the nice weather this would probably be fine. Communication with the host was quick and easy. He was very kind and made sure we were set up well before arrival. He was responsive during our stay for additional questions/clarifications.
