Imagine a quiet retreat in the woods, with a spectacular long-range view, over 3500 sf of beautiful spaces to gather inside and out, but only 3 minutes to the golf course and community amenities! Top-of-the-mountain views with privacy and serenity for you and your guests in a safe community with natural beauty all around.

5 spacious bedrooms with comfortable top-of-line mattresses. Main floor offers open-air outdoor deck with covered grilling space, kitchen, dining, living space with wood-burning fireplace, big screen SmarTV and two spacious bedrooms with luxury mattresses and shared bath.

Walk-out lower level with covered open-air deck and separate entrance offers electric fireplace with another living room area, additional dining space and kitchenette with overflow full-size refrigerator and drink fridge. This level also features a king bedroom, double-twin bedroom and shared bath with separate HVAC system for everyone's comfort.

Primary bedroom is in loft over the main level with spacious private bath, offering jetted tub and shower, sitting area, TV, and dedicated desk for workspace with mountain views. 4-poster king bed with luxurious 10-inch mattress is recessed to the far side of loft for privacy from main living below.

Kitchen offers dual-fuel stove (gas cooktop with electric oven), full-size washer/dryer area, plenty of cookware and kitchen gadgets, toaster oven/airfryer combo appliance, microwave and all the necessities. Full-size refrigerator here and on lower level for extra storage of items for your feast. Gas grill on covered porch; propane tanks provided. Wood for fireplaces also provided.

GORGEOUS 20X25 PATIO WITH FIREPIT AND SEATING FOR 10 -
Love an outdoor firepit to gather around? This home offers truly the most beautiful and unique anywhere - nothing like it in the community - stone and concrete staircase with handrails and outdoor lighting create a magical path to a huge patio with covered firewood box and 10 chairs for gathering all your family and friends. Lanterns and outdoor blankets also provided - bring your S'mores supplies!

While we love the quietness of this property and the sounds of birds and other wildlife, it also offers a top-of-the line sound system with speakers on all levels and decks - ability to select which speakers play at any given time. CD changer and receiver for connecting to your audio player by Bluetooth.

Hiking trails abound nearby within the community and out. Near the entrance to the Appalachian Trail via the Bartram Trail access just up the road. Trail maps on premises.

Prefer golf, tennis or pickleball? Top-rated Sky Valley Golf course is a 3-minute drive down the road, semi-private with reasonable greens fees and beautiful yet challenging holes and COOL TEMPS throughout the summer. Public pickleball courts available first-come, first-served.

Highlands NC is a short 15-min beautiful drive - enjoy fine dining and shopping. Clayton GA and Franklin NC are also nearby, with more shopping, antique hunting and dining opportunities. Ingles supermarket in Clayton and other specialty food stores provide all your food shopping needs for our stay.

The Vineyard at High Holly wine tasting and shopping and dining at Julep Farms are also right around the corner.

Every year, my girlfriends and I organize a hiking trip up in North Georgia. This year we decided to go up to Sky Valley and we were not disappointed. The house was extremely comfortable, more like a home than a house for rent. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms are inviting, and the master bedroom is a 5 star spa! The owners of the house were warm and welcoming as we were invited to stay an extra night due to a snow storm which blew in and made the roads dangerous. I can't recommend this house enough and I haven't even mentioned the view which is spectacular!

Fantastic Host & Home!

This home is a gem. Our family had a short visit and we wished we could have made it a longer stay. Karla is a very accommodating and responsive host. She lives nearby and offered to help if we needed anything. We wished the weather had been better so we could utilize the large stone fire pit area down the hill, but we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace inside and the provided woodpile. The home is 3 levels. As noted, the master bedroom loft is upstairs looking over the main level with no door, so late hour/early AM noise can be an issue with a large group on different sleep schedules. The terrace level living area was perfect for the teens. They played with the provided board games, cards, and Wii for hours. We hope we can visit this beautiful mountain home again!

Breathtaking views, peaceful retreat

Here’s a polished version of your review for the VRBO in Sky Valley, GA: We had an amazing stay at this property in Sky Valley! The location was perfect, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful retreat. The house was spacious, cozy, and had everything we needed—and more! We particularly enjoyed watching the variety of birds, especially the hummingbirds, after setting up a feeder. It was such a treat! The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials for cooking, and the washer and dryer were a huge plus since we stayed for an extended period. Evenings were wonderful with cool, crisp air and cozy fires, making it a perfect escape. The host was fantastic—super responsive and accommodating, making communication a breeze. My husband was thrilled with the easy access to Sky Valley Golf Club, which had beautiful scenery and was a great public course. It was a blessing to have good access to internet as we worked from the home on a daily basis. We both have to be on Zoom calls and were thrilled to find reliable service in the area. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway. We would highly recommend.
