Good location for skiing but read on
Clean, quiet, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, good location to ski several nearby mountains. Hot tub great to soak sore muscles at the very nice clubhouse (gaming, indoor pool, laundry) but pay attention to the time: it closes early at 8pm! Host very responsive. Overall happy with our choice and would stay there again.
However, I struggled with how to rate fairly, because the only complaint I have could be important for someone with health problems and it never occurred to me it would be an issue: the complex is not smoke-free and there was quite a pot party going on nearby the first night: it was bad enough that we slept with the window open (it was surprisingly comfortable though temps were in the teens). Of course without a complex-wide no smoking policy, our host has no control of guests in other units--and yet he went to the trouble of contacting the owner of the other unit, who apparently contacted THEIR guests and the second night we did NOT have this problem! And I think I prefer smelly neighbors to noisy ones: it was very quiet so still got good sleep with a window open. For that reason I didn't feel it right to penalize this property or host with a bad rating. After all, it could be an issue at many places you might choose in Colorado--so if you don't have asthma don't let it discourage you from this very nice condo and host--just be aware of the possibility, and speak up if you have a problem. Perhaps making a quality air filter available for such times would also help.
