Bahamas Castaway on Double Bay is centrally located on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. Bahamas Castaway welcomes you to an incredible tropical destination, a place where you can relax, unwind and get away from it all. You are just steps away from swimming in the turquoise blue water and snorkeling among the beautiful coral gardens filled with tropical marine life. Bahamas Castaway, with 200 feet of pink sand beachfront, sits on 1.5 acres of lush tropical landscaping overlooking the georgous views of Double Bay and its cays. Paradise awaits in this quiet and peaceful private setting.

Castaway is a spacious tropical island home that has all the amenities one would need. The main living area - kitchen, dining, living room - has an open airy plan with high ceilings, paddle fans and 2 large sliding glass doors that open to the roomy multi-level deck overlooking the many blue shades of the Atlantic. Any cook will feel right at home with all the cooking necessities including a cooking island and a side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water. And of course a blender.

The home has 2 master bedrooms, 1 king and 1 queen, and a third bedroom that has 2 sets of bunk beds. The den has a queen sofa sleeper. With accommodations for up to 8. So close to the beach you can hear the waves at night!

Bahamas Castaway features a large wrap-around mulit-level deck that captures the unforgettable ocean views. With plenty of seating and lounge chairs this deck is great for dining, entertaining and outdoor living. If you can pull yourself up off the deck you are but just a few steps away from swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and taking long easy strolls on the pink sand beaches of Double Bay.

Eleuthera is one the Out Islands of the Bahamas. If you are looking for crowded beaches, large resorts and hotels, casinos and nightclubs, then Eleuthera is not for you. What you will find is peace, quiet, solitude, and the friendliest people around. You come to Eleuthera to breath, relax, escape, live, and play.

Stay at Bahamas Castaway

What an amazing view!! Steps from the beach. I had not anticipated Eleuthera's remoteness....Stores and restaurants are not plentiful. But it is a vacation you will not forget.....just need some preparation and planning. Shop for groceries near North Eleuthera airport before heading south.

Nonstop Relaxation

My wife and I stayed at Castaway for 6 days and we loved everything, especially the beach! Extremely private piece of property, great location on the island, and excellent communication from the owner. We're already planning a second visit later this year. Definitely recommend this home for families as there is a large front living room near the kids bedroom (bunk beds) that would give them an area to gather and allow adults to sit in the main living area.

We loved our stay at Castaway. It's the ideal location for a true getaway and reset. So many beaches to discover (not to mention the one we woke up to every day) and plenty of things to do if you really don't want to relax seaside. Can't recommend this enough. We will definitely be coming back!

So beautiful and well worth the trip down!

Our family loved using the kayaks to explore and played the foosball table at night! We had many tournaments! John was more than accomadating and we appreciated him so much! We had a lovely time on the island and enjoyed exploring. We traveled into governors Harbour a few times during the week to get fish so thank you for the recommendations! Would love to travel back on another family vacation

Absolutely Amazing!

We had the best time in Eleuthera and during our stay at Bahamas Castaway. Honestly, one of the best beaches on the island. The home was perfect for our needs - we had 4 adults and 2 children and plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen has all you need for cooking and we never ran out of towels! We plan to go back for sure! Thanks Cathy!

Amazing view and one of the best beaches on the island.

The view from the deck is spectacular, and the property is located on one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Bahamas Castaway is really spacious, and we found it equipped with everything that we needed. The kayaks were great fun, and we had fantastic weather so we were able to use them every day. While we were there we pretty much had the beach to ourselves most days, so it really was idyllic.
