Mix of Good and Bad
The gite is in an excellent location for cycling / hiking the gorge, with a lovely view over the village of Palud. However, the property advert is misleading and incorrect. In particular: there is no internet at the house, there are no sofas to relax on in the lounge (the advertised “sofa bed” is actually an old single bed under the stairs - not suitable for sitting on), there cleaning is not good - there was a used sanitary towel left in the bedside table! Overall, it is very dark inside the property (understandable as it is old) but it needs decorating, improved furniture (the beds were metal camp-style beds), and a bit of brightening up (eg take away the old brown pictures)
The owner is friendly, and dealt a problem with the electricity and water very quickly. The house also has good practicalities like a washing machine. But we would not stay there again due to the lack of sofa, WiFi, and poor cleaning.
