Stayed 4–9 Aug 2025. Two days in, a live cockroach crawled onto my partner in bed around 23:00. We also saw several in the hallway/entrance. The agency sprayed our room on 7 Aug; common areas were not treated, and our door had a gap at the bottom. On 8 Aug we found another live cockroach in the kitchen. Around midnight the agency relocated us into a clean appartment. Suggestions like “keep the toilet seat closed” and “put something under the door” were not adequate. Public reviews from earlier report the same issue, so this seems recurring. Pros: unbeatable Old Town location, easy check-in. Cons: roaches in the unit and building, lingering odor, door gap. Until there’s building-wide pest control and basic sealing, I can’t recommend.

Great base in Old Town

A lovely place in the old town to base yourself for a visit. The accommodation was clean, quiet and had everything you would need. Some instructions for the air con would be helpful as I couldn't get it to work. The communication from the agency was fantastic.

My husband and I enjoyed this property although it was really difficult to find out first -- it's exactly what you would think of in terms of a studio inside the walls. we did have some water leaked during a very heavy storm but the owner was very communicative and had someone there right away. Great location close to everything. We do recommend.

Excellent 4 nights at the Art Deco City Walls Apartment. It is in a great location near the centre of the Old Town. There isn’t too many stairs to get to the apartment (although the apartment itself is on the third floor with no elevator). It was a short walk from the Main Street and the Old Town Port - close to Buza Bar and Gianni’s gelato shop. The apartment was clean, with a small kitchenette and en-suite. The air-con was a saviour after a day in the sun. There was good communication via WhatsApp from the accommodation provider. The only criticism is the apartment overlooks the city walls so when you have the shutters open people on the walls can see into the apartment but there are no curtains, only shutters making it very dark in the apartment when they are closed. The apartment is a few minutes walk from the reception/check in location. If you struggle with walking or stairs I would not recommend staying anywhere within the City Walls as you will have to walk through and carry your luggage through the whole of the old town and up lots of stairs.

All in all not a bad stay. Well located in Old Town nearby tourist location. The place wasnt exceptionally clean, and we did encounter some cockroaches. Wifi is intermittent. Staff wasn't very helpful on requesting small additional amenities such as toilet paper, which we didn't think was sufficient for an 7 day stay and isnt a huge ask from a guest staying for longer periods.
